✨ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

Boo’s 3D Printing will officially be attending the Kent County Show this year! 🎉
The Kent County Show is on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of July!

This is one of the biggest events I’ve ever prepared for, and honestly… I’m both incredibly excited and slightly terrified 😅

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of everything I’m printing and preparing for the show, including:

🌈 Jewellery & accessories
✨ Brand new creations
🎪 Stall setup prep
🖨 LOTS and LOTS of printing

For those who don’t know — alongside running Boo’s 3D Printing, I also work in engineering education and research specialising in additive manufacturing and 3D printing… so this event feels like the perfect mix of creativity, engineering, and chaos 😂

🧸 Child Safety Week 🧸

One thing I do not talk about enough behind the scenes is the amount of work that goes into making sure products are as safe as possible.

Over the past few months, I have been undertaking UKCA testing and compliance work for my 3D printed items myself — and honestly, it has been a huge learning curve. Between the testing, paperwork, documentation, traceability systems, storage requirements, and risk assessments, I would say I am around 75% of the way through the process for my current product range.

It is incredibly time-consuming, but also one of the most important steps I have taken for my business.

As a small handmade business, it can sometimes feel overwhelming trying to navigate toy safety regulations and compliance standards, but ensuring my prints are as safe as they can be is something I take very seriously. I truly believe it is something customers should look out for and ask about when purchasing toys and children’s items from any seller.

I also want to give a massive thank you to the Handmade Toy Collective for their support throughout this journey. Their guidance packs, shared testing results, and Facebook community have been absolutely invaluable and have helped me feel much more confident while working through the UKCA process.

There is still more work to do, but I am really proud of the progress so far 💜

The Summary of May

May was an incredibly busy month for Boo’s 3D Printing — and honestly one I’m really proud of 💜

The biggest highlight was definitely the launch of the Pocket Paws Collection 🐾
Seeing the response to those little dogs has been amazing.

This month also saw a huge increase in printing time, with almost 300 hours of printing across the workshop
A lot of that has been preparing for an exciting upcoming market… which means it’s currently:
✨ print print print
✨ test test test
✨ organise organise organise

And trust me… there’s still more to come

It’s also strange to think we’re nearly at the halfway point of the year already. I’m excited to start looking back at the goals I set at the beginning of 2026 and see how far Boo’s has grown since then 💜

Thank you to everyone who has supported the business this month through orders, likes, comments, shares and downloads — it genuinely means so much.

Now… back to the printers
