The end of an era!
Strap in gang, it's an emotional ride!
Opening SkyBound in Jan 2025 was one the scariest but most worthwhile things I've ever done. That's not down to the space, the equipment, or the timetable...it's not down to money or ego. It's down to you lot.
Every single soul that walked through our doors and gave a bit of themselves to this space made SkyBound what it was. A sanctuary. A home. A place where you could feel wanted and appreciated, exactly as you were. A community. A ninja generation centre. A refuge full of support and smiles. A safe space where you could be free to unmask, to learn, to be vulnerable with no pretense. It was so much more than just a studio, not only to me (the owner, Elly. Hi!) but to so many of our people.
It was with a very heavy heart that we had to close our doors on Saturday. We want to thanks every single last person who came to a class, who sent a messages of support and encouragement, who lent us a hand over the past year. None of what we achieved could of been possible without such a strong beautiful community behind us. It's you lot that we are drawing the strength from to pick ourselves off, dust ourselves off and keep moving forward.
There WILL be another studio. The plans are so so exciting and I honestly cannot wait to spill all the tea ☕ but at the moment, there is no certainty.
As soon as there are tangible updates, we'll be shouting from the rooftops...so watch this space and keep your fingers crossed.
