Being outdoors and connecting to Nature is essential to well-being. PUT YOUR HAND WHERE YOUR HEART IS 🌱

This world wants us to feel disempowered, overwhelmed and like everything is quite simply ‘out of our hands’

RESIST

Because what we allow, persists

And the truth is the power to create change in the world is right at our fingertips, at any given time. Most especially now.

So here are a few of my tips for using your hands to live a more heart - led life and to FEEL like your small changes, your wee hands, can help, can heal.

REFLECTING ON MY PRIORITIES AS A SINGLE WOMAN IN HER MID FOURTIES 🐞

It’s dawned on me over the past year, since landing in West Sussex, that’s there’s no going back to the woman I was a few years ago.

🌱 She is long gone now, that version of me still composting away as I move towards the end of May.

🪽 And as always with the death of the old self, there’s an odd mixture of grief and relief.

🌻 Because these days I’m so much happier simply pottering in my garden - give me potting over partying any damn day.

🍺 I had a beer in Brighton with some friends on Friday and as I drove home / away I could clearly see old me in the mirror.

🥳 She would have been out all night on the Friday / Saturday. Seen the sunrise as she rolled out of the club and onto beach front.

🐞 And a part of her, of course, will always live within me. I will ALWAYS love a boogie and love a little dance around my kitchen whilst I’m getting the dinner on.

🌻 But the part of me who would trade the rest of the weekend in ‘recovery’ is LONG GONE.

🐛 I’d so much rather be up at 6, sober as a pope, greeting the day and soaking up the bird song.

🦋 And honestly, first the first time in my life, single bilingual, I feel like I’m not REACHING outside of me for love.

🏚️ Being home, spending time with my cat, growing a garden, my body, living simply - these have all become my number one priority.

🐞 My Art Talk with .surrey is now only weeks away. I’ll be talking about my journey as an Art teacher both within and breaking free of ‘the system’. About creativity, how we nurture it and just how long it took for me to find a ‘way’ that felt right for me.

📖 I’m also super excited about my upcoming NEW collaboration with - where I’ll be bringing my deep LOVE of Nature Journaling to the wild of West Sussex.

🪾And I’m oh so excited to have been invited back to work with - leading a creative conversation with the trees in their ancient woodland at Nower Wood Educational Reserve.

🐦‍⬛ And what can you expect from me as a teacher, talker, leader?

🐝 Well I very much hope to bring you to creativity in a way that feels like PLAY. Where everything is an experiment, risks garner rewards and underpinning everything I do, is a feeling, a sense of a deeper tether to Nature, of reciprocal relationship with our home, planted at the heart of you.

🌱 As I always say - Mother Nature is the finest Artist, our greatest teacher and I but her humble assistant.

DIARY OF A HUMBLE HEDGEWITCH 🧹

🌱 Landing after the most cosmic and utterly transformative journey through this past moon cycle

🐦‍⬛ Alone once again, after so many beautiful visitors coming and going, to-ing and fro-ing through my home

🌸 In solitude yes, with some time now to process but never truly alone as I am surrounded by loving kin - including all the wild beings of this land and the stability of my horsey neighhhbours

🐈‍⬛ Time for me to hunker down now with my kitty and enjoy the deep peace and this gift of a Sunday just to rest and digest

🦉 Grateful for all the wisdom and nourishment this time, this work, these visitors have offered to me

🐞 And so excited for this new path, this next leg of the journey and all that it is teaching me.

FULL MOON COVEN - ROOM ON THE BROOM

🧹 I am home my loves and have had a beautiful day landing and cleaning cleaning cleaning…

🕯️ I’m not there yet with the words to describe the magical journey that I have just landed from but I can tell you the Earth module was a top to toe cleanse for my body

🌱 And the energy I have brought home with me is palpable…

⭕️ And so it just feels so aligned to be gathering women in circle again tomorrow night

🧹 Of course I will be bringing what I have learnt and am still integrating to the space…
