Dorset Art Weeks Dorset Art Weeks is the largest visual arts event of its kind in Dorset. Dorset Art Weeks is a biennial open studios event across Dorset.

Featuring around 1000 artists, it is one of the largest Open Studios events in the country and contributes largely to the economy of Dorset and beyond.

🎉 NOW EVERY YEAR!! 🎉

SAVE THE DATES:
15 - 31 MAY 2027

Since its inception in 1992, Dorset Art Weeks (DAW) has traditionally run biennially. We are absolutely thrilled that DAW will now become an annual event! 🥳

By transitioning to a yearly format, we intend to attract more visitors, elevate awareness, and build consistent year-on-year engagement with our incredibly talented and diverse creative community. The aim is to provide Dorset’s creative community with more frequent opportunities to participate. This new annual structure encourages creators to open up their personal studios, collaborate on new group exhibitions, and uncover novel locations to display their artwork.

🔔 DAW is open to ALL artists and makers who live or work within Dorset.

🔔 Registrations to participate will open in November 2026.

What an incredible Dorset Art Weeks 2026! We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to the artists, makers, galleries, and venues that transform Dorset into such a vibrant destination for the visual arts.

We hope you enjoyed discovering new talent or revisiting your favourite creators, and we thank you for your continued support of Dorset's creative community.

While many studio doors are closing for now, the creativity never stops! Our website will feature all 2026 venues for several more months, so please feel free to contact artists directly if you missed a stop on your list.

You have until this Sunday, 7 June, to explore the incredible craftsmanship and creativity hosted at 294 venues throughout the county. Don’t miss your chance to step inside private open studios and view curated exhibitions. There is so much talent waiting to be discovered.

It is a perfect day out: enjoy the scenic Dorset landscape while meeting makers in spaces usually hidden from public view. Your support means the world to our local creative community!

With venues remaining open until Sunday 7 June, there is still ample opportunity to explore the work of many more artists and makers.

Remember venues are open until Sunday 7 June - plenty of time left to visit some of the 294 venues across Dorset! 📍Check each venue for opening times before you visit.

As you tour the county, you’ll encounter exceptional, original arts and crafts, including textiles, jewellery, ceramics, sculptures, and paintings. Many pieces are available for purchase, offering a wonderful chance to bring home a unique treasure while supporting the talented creators who make Dorset so vibrant.
