We can’t thank the teams at enough for all they have done to promote and get involved with Culture Quest this summer! 🌞💕

As well as distributing all the passports and certificates, libraries across Dorset have been hosting all kinds of wonderful, creative activities this summer which were featured on the Culture Quest map. Lots of children were able to collect music stamps from the libraries this summer as many of their activities were linked to this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme; ‘Read to the Beat!’

This reel was filmed and put together by the brilliant Poppy at of the ‘See It, Hear It, Ask It: Come and Meet the Musical Instruments!’ Activity held at Weymouth Library in August. This fun and exciting musical activity was hosted by who shared a few of their thoughts on the power of music and creativity and why projects like Culture Quest are important. 💫🎶

There is still time to get lots of stamps in your Culture Quest passport and have lots of fun at this weekend! ✨🪩

If you have 5 stamps in your passport, you can collect your Culture Quest certificate from your local library until the end of September! 💫

Purbeck Art Weeks Festival is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Event Publicity & Marketing Manager to help promote a exciting programme of concerts, performances and events in 2027.

Based in beautiful Purbeck, Dorset, PAW brings together visual arts, Open Studios, exhibitions, world-class musicians and innovative community performances across Swanage, Wareham, Corfe Castle and surrounding villages.

Purbeck Art Weeks Festival is looking for someone with experience in arts marketing, publicity, digital marketing and audience development, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

📅 January - June 2027
⏰ Approx. 1 day / 7 hours per week
📍 Purbeck, Dorset

✨🎸Activities to Explore This Summer! 🎹✨

We are excited to share another one of the Culture Quest activities coming up this summer with you!

Our next feature is the Songwriting Workshop for 8 - 11 year olds being run by Esther Keappock 💫

Culture Quest explorers can get their passports stamped and enjoy this chance to explore a range of songwriting techniques,including lyric writing, melody development, arranging, hooks and rhythm.

This workshop is open to singers, instrumentalists and anyone with an interest in music and songwriting. Whether you’re already writing songs or simply curious to learn more, all levels of experience are welcome.

🎤💫 Songwriting Workshop - The Reef Youth and Community Centre, Colehill, Wimborne - Wednesday 26th August - Session 1: 10am to 1pm, Session 2: 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

Did you know you can get a Culture Quest stamp in your passport by doing something creative at home or out and about somewhere like the park or the beach? 🎨🎶💫

We have a resource pack full of creative ideas and prompts available to download for free on the Culture Quest website. Go to the link in our bio and find the resources page to download it today! ✨

If you do a creative activity at home, you can either create your own stamp to put in your passport (ideas on how to do that in the resource pack!) or you can head down to your local library where you can get an ‘at home’ stamp in your passport - why not check out a book whilst your there or take part in the summer reading challenge and get your book stamp as well! 📚✨

If you want to take part in Culture Quest or know some children that would, your local library is the place to pick up a free passport too! 💫
