Our home is in the Dorchester Corn Exchange, where we have a performance space accommodating up to a maximum audience capacity of 300 and we have a fully licensed bar for all events. We are temporarily based in Dorchester Town Council offices at 19 North Square. We also programme performances in a variety of venues across Dorchester, including Shire Hall, Dorset Museum, St Mary's Church and Maumbury Rings, and work with a wide range of community groups, delivering arts activities for all ages.

A village show. A closing pub. A very strange storm…

Join Riddlestick Theatre for Barleycorn - a new musical comedy of folk tales, village rivalries, traditional music, ‘wyrd’ happenings and something sinister lurking beyond the doors.... Inspired by English folklore, folk horror and 1970s TV, this playful, atmospheric show combines live music, dance and storytelling.

Saturday 19 September | 7.30pm at Dorchester Corn Exchange.

Pam Ayres has spent a lifetime providing hilarious and profound insights into the delights and tribulations of everyday life.

She comes to Dorchester to talk about her latest book, DOGGEDLY ONWARD – A LIFE IN POEMS, 1970 to 2020s.

Pam has gathered her career’s work of poetry into this book, which traces the course of her life, and illustrates how her work has provoked laughter, and some tears, in people around the world.

What a fantastic start to Autumn 2026!

We had a great season launch this morning for our members, with a very special musical treat from Tamara Konstantin and Barbara Gasior. Their performance gave us a fabulous taster of their upcoming concert at Dorchester Arts – and what a highlight it was!

We can’t wait to welcome them both, plus cellist Jiaxin Lloyd Webber, back to the Corn Exchange on 24 September. It’s going to be a very special concert!
