As Bawtry's Arts venue, the Phoenix Theatre is home to Bawtry Dramatic Society proud members of NODA, with a membership of around 80 people, producing between three and four productions a year; the Young Players, currently running at their maximum membership of 50, who meet every Saturday morning and perform in around two productions a year; Bawtry Film Society, showing around 20 critically acclai

med British and foreign films a season; and regular Folk and Blues music evenings. The theatre, together with its coffee lounge and bar facilities, is also hired out for local community and school events and plays.

We’re on the lookout for new members and volunteers!

Amateur dramatics isn’t just for wannabe theatre luvvies - it’s a fantastic way to meet new people, build confidence, and become part of a welcoming local community. And most importantly… it’s great fun!

Whether you want to be on stage, behind the scenes, or helping out front of house, there’s a place for you.

The Phoenix Theatre is home to:
• Bawtry Amateur Dramatic Society, producing three productions a year, a variety of comedies, mysteries, whodunnits and dramas.
• The Young Players and Mini Players, who meet every Saturday morning and perform in two or three productions a year
• Bawtry Film Society, showing around 20 critically acclaimed British and foreign films a season

And just like that, the curtain has fallen on an unforgettable production of Chicago.

What an incredible journey it’s been. To our phenomenal cast, dedicated production team, front of house volunteers, and everyone who played a part behind the scenes -thank you for your passion, commitment, and countless hours of hard work.

To our amazing audiences, thank you for filling the theatre with your energy, applause, and support. You made every performance even more special.

While we’re sad to say goodbye to the Cell Block, the spotlight, and all that jazz, we’re so proud of everything we’ve achieved together. These memories, friendships, and moments on stage will stay with us for a long time.

Congratulations to every single person involved. Take a bow, you’ve truly earned it. ❤️🎭
