Hi everyone. It's pretty difficult for me to write this in all honesty but its been coming for a while now. For the most part I'm not going to be streaming for the foreseeable future.
There are several reasons for this. One being the games as I don't feel like I'm actually enjoying anything these days. Two I'm going to have a lot less time for it soon with doing a full time course and likely being in a new full time job early next year. And thirdly, whilst this doesn't really have much of a bearing on the decision, I've really fallen out of love with game streaming, the community and the toxicity surrounding it. A number of people who had been around the stream for a long time who I assumed were friends simply discarded me and decided to put me on blast on social media painting me out to be someone I'm not, which hurt a lot at the time and left a pretty bad taste in my mouth for the whole thing. I wish them all the best in life but I'm not a fan of people making out I'm a bad person when I know I'm not, especially when I did nothing to warrant that kind of reaction.
I started doing this nearly 6yrs ago on YouTube Gaming. I moved to Beam which became Mixer and I met so many great people and had such a great time. We built up something pretty special and did a lot of cool things. Unfortunately my health, both physical and mental, was a bit of a mess to say the least for a lot of this time. I've struggled with putting the time in and coping with the pressures surrounding it that led to the last 18 months. Surgery has really given me a new lease of life due to how successful it has been and I don't want to spend that good health trying to build this back up in an era where streaming is just far more difficult than before. Many of you were understanding during this time and I appreciate the hell out of you for that.
It has been a lot of fun and I feel I have been genuine and myself throughout the entire thing, even if others disagree. I'd like to keep in touch with as many people as possible but as always in this game people move on to other things. I understand that. I just hope you stay well and have a good life.
So here we are. I'm going to be deactivating my Twitch channel. I've already changed my Twitter handle. The only accounts with the EhrgeizTV name are on YouTube and Facebook, and I will stream to those from time to time if I feel like doing so. My newish YouTube channel 'GroundedTech' is now my hobby going forward. There's a Twitter handle for that as well if you want to follow me there.
So take it easy guys. This 5G forehead, moocon loving Egg is rolling on to new things. See you around and thank you so much for the support over the years. It has genuinely meant everything to me. More than you know.
