What a fun session at Eco Club this week! We learnt about the importance of our native blooms and the bugs that help to pollinate. Made our own seed bombs using all compostable materials and native flowers. Looked at life cycles of butterflies and designed a few of our own species too! The children even had hands on experience with the resident walking stick insects and stag beetles as well as getting the chance to check out some more unusual and unique specimens under a magnifying glass.
Thank you Shaw Wood Academy for inviting me again. Everyone enjoyed today's session and really engaged in all the activitieson offer. Asking lots (and lots and lots!) of questions.
Big thank you to for kindly donating some of the wonderful specimens of butterflies-we may have a few future entomologists, they were immensely fascinated!
