Lantern Company is set to have your Eyes on Stalks this Spring as part of Liverpool BID’s
‘Must See Month’ (13th February to late March).

We have created an incredible walking art trail in Liverpool city centre with a surrealist ‘feast for the senses’ series of window gallery exhibitions, supported and made possible by Liverpool BID’s Arts and Culture fund 🙏

The accessible public art trail is viewable 24/7 and features a host of incredible illuminated art installations and curious characters in window galleries across Liverpool City Centre locations, best viewed from dusk onwards when they are all illuminated - see map for locations.

World class artworks with a theatrical carnival-style twist, all dreamed up, designed and made in Liverpool and previously shown at events and festivals all around the Globe.

Ignite your imagination, discover new ways of seeing and let curiosity light the way while you wander!

We’re partnering with the RSPB this week, until Sunday 25th January, at The Trafford Centre, to help promote the Big Garden Bird Watch - UK’s biggest biggest wildlife survey and a brilliant way for people of all ages to connect with nature.

Come and say hello to our Giant Puffin and Starling Lanterns, as well as the lovely Kate and Dan from who will be helping to spread the word about the Birdwatch and the wider work of the RSPB.

A real highlight of our year is The Night Garden at The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall, where we are commissioned to make nature-themed lanterns to reflect Heligan’s environmental and biodiversity campaigns and the diversity of wildlife in the gardens.

This years’ new creatures were Watervole - Heligan released 50 pairs on the estate this year. Dragonflies (whose breeding success and survival is complexly linked to climate change) A mole (whose digging helps aerate the soil, improves drainage and seed growth amongst other benefits) and the dramatically plumed Great spotted Woodpecker - a treat for all!

The extensive research and creative process always provides a fascinating challenge, especially as we figure out how to transpose micro to macro and wings, scales and fur into sculpted form, light and colour.

A lovely array of our other lantern creatures are inhabiting this year’s trail, reflecting the wealth of wildlife that inhabits the Heligan estate... This year’s event is a perfect Winter adventure for absolutely everyone!
