This bag almost took fingers with it - a slip of the foot and bang…. The perils of an Industrial Machine…. But that only adds to its story.

The leather is beyond stunning and was waste as not good enough to be made into a sofa - But it is beyond good enough for a bag and just how beautiful is it … even with its over stitch - I’ve tried to close up on the colour as it’s a very fine line between red and brown not quite Mahogany as too red ….

If this one has made to it your short list then shout as I am pretty sure it’s the only tote available….

Latest. Carpet Bag selection

All made from commercial waste - the carpet has been sent down from Dagenham from Bespoke binding and fitting specialist - the leather from GPlan in Melksham.

The bags themselves are all lined and interlined with a single interior zipped pocket.

Wiltshire Times feature this week - it was nice to see Trevor but even better that this fabulous little market has received some of the publicity that it justly.deserves.

Nicola and Sarah work tirelessly to keep The Melksham Makers’ Market a continued success with hands on makers showcasing their wares.

It’s well supported but as with everything could always do with a bit more …. and last but never least is Jon and Susie from Susie & John showcasing their incredible talent and making skills …

There’s no market next month But November sees the Xmas Market inside of the Assembly Rooms

Last Outdoor Melksham Market - next event in Melksham will be the November Indoor Xmas Event….

Going back to shop set up mode as we enter the Xmas countdown.

I’ll be doing some special features as have lots of stock waiting in the wings - ready to hit that Xmas gift list.

Crossbodies and. Carpet Bags will be out first very excited to see these come together on my workbench.

Vintage Brown Tote Bag.
5 gorgeous brown totes in leather collected from G-Plan but actually belonged to their sister Co. Parker Knoll.

The suite and its leather no longer a design meant that these left over hides were considered to be waste and in such no longer wanted or needed.

For me waaay too beautiful to ever end up in Landfill these bags have been created. They are not exactly the same but they are similar …. Sisters not Twins as die to its nature the leather has not tanned uniformly.

Ordinarily this leather would have been the swag pass and therefore the Crossbody bag but I liked it too much for it not to be a Tote also. This means that it is a lighter weight to begin with which for some of you I know is a factor. It’s still robust and man enough for the job and has been interlined and lined with the internal zipped pocket and as ever if you manage to break it send it back for a repair ….

Any questions please shout but trust me on this one - These are a steal and I really don’t expect to hold on to them for long…….
