A Message from Sparkle Play ✨
Hello everyone! We thought we’d say hello to those who are new to Sparkle Play and share a little about who we are and how we maintain our high standards every day. 🩷
Sparkle Play is an independent soft play centre in the heart of Didcot town centre. It was inspired by our previous experience running a community-focused, child-friendly cafe, with the aim of creating a fun, welcoming space where families can play, relax and make wonderful memories together. We are also incredibly grateful to be celebrating almost 3 years in business this October, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without the amazing support of our local community.
Our close-knit team has worked together for many years and brings a wealth of experience, dedication and genuine care to everything we do. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards and providing the best possible experience for every family who visits us. 🙌🏻
We are an honest and transparent business, and our cleaning procedures are carried out throughout the day and carefully documented. If any parent or visitor would like to see our cleaning records or paperwork, simply ask a member of our team—we’re always happy to share them. Transparency is something we truly believe in. 🩷
Our daily cleaning routine includes:
• Sanitising plastic play food, cups, plates, vegetables and suitable toys in the dishwasher.
• Steam cleaning the role-play area.
• Sanitising play mats, play equipment and toys throughout the day.
• Washing dress-up clothes, baby toys and washable soft toys in the washing machine.
• Using a strict colour-coded cleaning system with separate cloths, buckets and mop heads for different areas to prevent cross-contamination.
For those wondering about the products we use:
• Antibacterial spray & D10 for cafe tables.
• Milton Antibacterial Surface Spray for children’s toys and high chairs.
• Eco-friendly cleaner for play mats.
• Antibacterial cleaner, with a small amount of bleach where appropriate, for toilets and floors.
While we do everything we can to minimise germs, common childhood illnesses can unfortunately be picked up anywhere—whether that’s at nursery, with a childminder, in parks, on public transport or in other public places or between friends. We do everything possible to reduce the spread of germs, and we kindly ask that if your little one is feeling unwell, you wait until they are feeling better before visiting Sparkle Play.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for your continued support and trust. We truly appreciate every visit and remain committed to maintaining the high standards that families have come to expect from us.
We feel incredibly blessed to be part of the Didcot community and to work alongside such an amazing team, who share the same love, passion and commitment to creating a wonderful place for local families. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to welcoming many more families through our doors for years to come. 🩷
With love,
The Sparkle Play Team ✨
