Ok, ONE more. This one is a revisit to a Green Man lithophane light that I did ages ago
As always, it features a rechargeable LED unit in the base and it's remote controlled. Put it in that dark corner where there's no plug socket, move it around from room to room. Stick it in a cupboard to scare people when they go hunting for biscuits. The choice is yours!

I have to say, I've very happy with the wolf and the fox, The fox works great with the light on white. The wolf looks great with some of the other colours

New piece of kit arrived yesterday. It changes everything in terms of my lights. Something like this would have taken days to 3D print because of the colour.

Now, I 3D print the white cylinder then put that into a UV printer with an attachment that rotates the cylinder while the coloured layer is being laid down.

This one is a test so it needs tweaking but I'll be adding these to my website in the next couple of days

Howl about this for a lamp!

This would make a great gift for wolf fans with its silhouetted wolf howling at the full moon. A little rechargeable lamp at 20cm tall and about 9cm in diameter, this light goes wherever you want it, regardless of whether you have a power socket available. It'll last for a minimum of 14 hours and then just needs a couple of hours to recharge.

It's remote controlled and you can choose from 12 colours plus white. You can change the brightness, set it to fade through all colours, and set a timer so that it switches off automatically after 30 or 60 minutes.

Boredom alert!!!

Ok, might not be boring for the techies out there. I've had a few people ask about motion detection on my lights. Early days but I'm getting there!

This involves adding a small microcontroller and a PIR sensor. I've decoded what the remote sends for on and off, then programmed the microcontroller so that it "impersonates" the remote control.

When the PIR sensor tells it there's motion it sends an 'on' command to the LEDs. If no motion is detected then it sends an 'off' command.

Now, you can put one of my rechargeable lights in a dark corner where there's no power. But it'll only come on if it detects motion. This means that you'll need to charge it much less often.

Now just got to find the right bits to make it small enough to go inside the light.

A little light for slower, cosier evenings 🤍

This rechargeable seed-pod lamp combines a softly ribbed white shade with a simple leather strap, giving it the calm, natural feel of Japandi decor.

With no trailing cable, it’s easy to move from a bedside table to a dark corner, shelf or sideboard. You can carry it by the strap or hang it from a suitable hook. It can even come into the garden with you on a dry evening—just remember that it isn’t weatherproof and must be brought back indoors afterwards.

Use the remote to choose from 12 colours plus white, adjust the brightness or set a gentle colour-changing effect. There’s also a 30- or 60-minute sleep timer, and a full charge provides up to 20 hours of light.

The lamp comes with a 50cm USB-C charging cable and takes around two hours to charge.

New packaging!

I'm really pleased with this. I was using foam pouches when sending my lights but new EU regulations mean I've got to look at making everything recycled or recyclable. I get a few orders a week going to the EU so it had to be done. The tall one of those is off to France tomorrow.

I'm now pleased to say that the boxes I use, the tape, the void fill, the protection for the lights and my labels are all nice and eco-friendly. That's on top of the lights themselves being PLA (corn starch)

Sneak preview incoming!

New size and style of solar lights for the garden. These will have 2 options: wall mount or standalone (for tables, etc).

They come on at dusk, go off at dawn and charge during the day. *If* it ever rains again, they can stay out in that too.

Basically, any designs I do on inside lights will be adapted to wortk with this new solar unit.

And they'll be really good value at £15 each, £25 for 2 or £30 for 3.
