CALLING ALL MUSICAL THEATRE LOVERS 🎭

We are the musical theatre society. A society that encourages you to create and explore whatever way you wish whether that be through your singing, dancing or acting.

The society had such a fun last year and despite being online this year we have many ideas to make this year even better !!!

Hello !! Calling all theatre lovers 🎭!!!!!

The new university year is beginning which also means it’s time to join new societies and try your hand at some new skills !!

Musical theatre society is a fun creative society that allows you to showcase your talents whether it is acting , singing or dancing. We encourage eachother to explore and create as individuals while also having the best time .

The Musical theatre society last year performed in waking of the walls Derry and also performed ‘Spring Awakening’ as our competition entry for the all Ireland musical theatre Inters competition!!

Although we are online this year we still have just as many ideas and plans to make this year just as good !!!

Welcoming our new Committee Members 2020/21

Our President: Kaitlyn Coffey

Kaitlyn joined the Magee Musical Theatre Society in 2019 through our first year as a society. She took on the role as the Director of our Inters performance of Spring Awakening, which makes us proud to announce her as our new President.

Our Secretary and Publicist: Lucy Esdale

Lucy also joined in September 2019. She choreographed both our Halloween Show and Spring Awakening production. She has spent a lot of time and effort with our society making her a perfect Secretary and Publicist in our Committee.

Our Treasurer: Mollie Cochrane

Mollie does Music at Magee, first joining the Musical Theatre Society in September 2019. Mollie steppes forward as our Musical Director during our performance of Spring Awakening making her a perfect fit in our committee.

Our Society Coordinators: Tariq Tahir and Ruairi Kelly

Both of these men have been part of the Musical Theatre Society since September 2019. Tariq is a former member of our committee who worked very hard to help us as a society through the last year. Ruairi is a massive part of the Society who always gives ideas and tips to others. With this role they will be organising events and rehearsals which we are so excited about.
