RAMP Festival returns to Rathmullan for its fourth edition. Unfolding across three days, from 17th-19th July, it brings together pioneering voices from Ireland and the international experimental scene, inviting audiences into an exciting encounter with performance and place.
We are delighted to be part of Earagail Arts Festival, Donegal's premier summer event on the Wild Atlantic Way, running from 10 - 25 July 2026.
This year’s programme features renowned historical keyboard specialist Yonit Kosovske, viola da gamba virtuoso Sarah Groser and boundary-exploring pianist and composer Xenia Pestova Bennett who join forces to give a home to new music that combines contemporary and historical instruments.
Deep listening and environmental awareness remain central to RAMP’s ethos, reflected in performances by sound artist Natalia Beylis and percussionist Willie Stewart, as well as cellist and composer Eimear Reidy, whose work draws from folk memory and experimental practice.
Sculptural sound takes centre stage in a rare collaboration between Berlin-based artist Rie Nakajima and instrument builder Pierre Berthet, while legendary vocal improvisers Phil Minton and Maggie Nicols bring their playful, fearless approach to collective sound-making.
The festival also welcomes violinist Mira Benjamin and composer-performer Francesca Fargion, percussionist Susan Geaney in collaboration with violinist Angharad Davies, and turntablist and composer Mariam Rezaei, whose radical approach to the decks reframes the possibilities of the instrument.
Across concerts, installations, workshops and site-responsive performances, RAMP 2026 continues its exploration of how sound shapes our understanding of environment and community. Set against the shifting tides and expansive skies of Rathmullan, the festival offers a space for curiosity, risk and attentive listening.
RAMP is made possible with the generous support of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Earagail Arts Festival and The Contemporary Music Centre.
