Local Legends 🤘

LOCAL LEGENDS 🤘⚓

What would Carnival of Colours be without our very own super talented local artists bringing a whole heap of magic, craic and skill to the quay! 🤸

From bubble blowing mermaids to singing sailors, the local legends will be out and about spreading joy and maritime magic (with a couple of new surprises thrown in for good measure) 😉

And at Carnival of Colours there's always a way to get involved!

Take a dander down the quay and try our:
🎪 Circus workshops in the Baby Top (daily)
🤡 Face painting @ the Stretch tent (Sat/Sun 1-6pm)
🎨 Portrait artistés for a wee momento! (Sat/Sun)

Today we're sending a huge THANK YOU to Derry City & Strabane District Council and Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their continued support of Carnival of Colours.

Through the Headline Events Fund, DCSDC helps make Carnival of Colours possible and trusts us to bring a unique programme of circus, music and street arts to the North West's events calendar. Their fantastic events team also creates opportunities for In Your Space Circus and local artists to perform at major events throughout the year. 🎃🐳🎷🎄

For 18 years, ACNI has helped us engage local artists, welcome international circus performers, and bring world-class circus, art and plenty of craic to Derry and beyond. Their support also underpins In Your Space Circus's year-round programme, helping us reach thousands of people every year. 🤸‍♂️🎪🤹‍♀️

🎪✨ After a HECTIC weekend, we are just reflecting on what an incredible afternoon we had at our Circus Celie - Strictly Come Circus event! ✨🎪

We would just like to say a massive congratulations to our fantastic Aspiring Leaders, who worked so hard to create and deliver this special event as part of Cruinniú na nÓg and Circus Explored. Their creativity, enthusiasm and dedication never fails to amaze us!

We would also like to say a special thank you to Fireworks DDTA for their brilliant dance performance and workshop...circus & dance, what a great pairing 💃🤸‍♂️

And last but not least, thank you to everyone who came along, took part and supported our young people 💖🎪
