I have been really putting my inner self and my outlook on life into the art that I have been creating this past while. Things are changing.

My outlook, my view on what art means to me, what I get out of it and how each art piece I now draw, makes me feel.

How does it make me feel? Is a question I am going to ask myself more frequently as I continue on my journey as an artist. From now on I only want to create art that is meaningful to me, something that is personal, to me. Something that sparks joy in me when I observe it.

Anyway, here’s the gist of this beauty.. 🍃

The presence of the monstera leaf, a type of tropical plant, highlights the tension between the man-made world and the natural one. The plant represents both the beauty and resilience of nature, but also its domestication and exploitation by human civilization. The depiction of the girl sitting in the clouds further emphasizes the idea of a disconnection from reality, as if she is removed from the consequences of our actions.
