Silver Tongued Deviance

Silver Tongued Deviance is an open mic platform event hosted by spoken word artist Frank Rafferty at Void Art Centre.

During these sessions, spoken word performers/singers/(acoustic) musicians are invited to come along and perform; they may choose any pieces of work from their repertoire, they can create something new which connects to themes in Void’s current exhibition, or they can perform something else entirely which simply resonates with them.

The viewing public are invited to simply attend and enjoy! There is no requirement to perform at these events. If you wish to take part, just come along, no need to book in advance.

Refreshments are also provided; visitors are invited to enjoy a glass of wine, a beer, or some tea or coffee.

JOIN Creative Community Arts FROM 28th - 31st October during the City Of Bones Halloween Festival. Our creatures from Celtic mythology and local legend: Walter the skeleton, Morrigan, Manaman MacLir, Blaithnad the Banshee will be joining other spooky performers in Waterloo Place and the Craft Village to regale you with terrible tales that will chill your souls and curdle your blood each day.
By night we will be haunting the streets of the city as part of the Awakening Of The Walls, watch out for the nightly appearances of the Ghostly Sea Captain, Murdered Lizzie & The Derry Vampire as they scare you to Hell and back with the stories of their doom.
