This Saturday it is International Children's Day! We will be at Bramblebrook Community Centre with a street dance workshop and there's lots of activities, fun and games to celebrate on the day!

And Still I Rise 2026 applications are now open!

We are looking to commission black creatives in a range of artistic styles from poetry, dance, music, theatre etc.

Artists will showcase their work during our Midlands tour which will visit 4 different cities during

FEE: £500 to develop new 6-7 minute work
PLUS £200 per performance

Artists must be:
✨️ aged 18+
✨️ based in the Midlands
✨️ available for all 4 tour dates
✨️ from Black, Caribbean or African backgrounds

2funkyempire are launching an exciting opportunity for artists of Black, African and Caribbean heritage to be part of their acclaimed annual 'And still I rise Midlands Tour'

10 outstanding creatives will be selected, to celebrate the strength, spirit and vibrancy of Black culture.

The tour will be across 4 major cities 🎶🎤🎶

All performance styles are welcome - including poetry, music, dance, and theatre

Selected artists receive £500 to develop and rehearse the performance, plus £200 for each performance!
