As a founding member of Makeney Morris, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in the traditions of Adderbury, Ascott-under-Wychwood, Oddington, and Sherbourne, among others. These experiences have shaped me, instilling a profound appreciation for the art of Morris dancing. Derby, with its bustling dance scene and vibrant community spirit, serves as the perfect backdrop for our endeavours. From the University of Derby's dynamic dance department to the lively events hosted by Deda Derby Dance, the city pulsates with creative energy.
