"Acting Together" performed last week as part of Derby Peace Week, Wirksworth Festival for Amnesty International bringing spect-actors together to discuss the war and suffering in Palestine and consider what agency we have. A powerful night, one person said: "Consummate acting and totally convincing dialogue. All the despair, dilemmas, hope and humanity was reflected in these short episodes". We raised £400 for Medical Aid for Palestine. It was so good to be back on stage performing and with Adrian Jackson. It's 10 years since "Acting Alone". Thank you to Chris Webb for photographs.

"Acting Together" performed last week as part of Derby Peace Week, and Wirksworth Festival, for Amnesty International, asking questions and creating a space for discourse around the war and suffering in Palestine. We raised £400 for Medical Aid for Palestine, and shared and listened to each other's powerful stories. It was a powerful night. One person said: "Consummate acting and totally convincing dialogue. All the despair, dilemmas, hope and humanity was reflected in these short episodes."
So good to be back on stage, performing this time with Adrian Jackson. It's 10 years since "Acting Alone". Thank you Chris Webb for photographs.

In light of the continued war new questions of the role of the international community have been posed. What can we do as individuals and collectively? What agency do we have to stop the killing and destruction of people’s lives and communities? How do we maintain pressure for peace and not run out of steam? Using verbatim accounts, autobiography and story Acting Alone: Acting Together will take us on an exciting and powerful journey whilst enquiring into these questions.
Acting Together will reflect on the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, asking, what is our role as the international community?
Acting Together is a new piece of work inspired by Ava Hunt’s Acting Alone. Ava is joined by Adrian Jackson MBE, writer/director.

Adrian and Ava will perform, and experiment with ideas around participation, to provoke and ignite new possibilities…..

We invite audiences to bring a friend/someone who is unsure, who doesn't agree, who questions, who is new to the debate to attend.
We look forward to meeting you.

This production is supported by Wirksworth and District Amnesty International Group.

Yesterday we did WTC shows in Derby city schools with Derby Book Festival. It was a delight to see the children reading their new books as they left the school hall. Especially copies of The Diary of a Wimpy School Kid and The Boy at the Back of the Class, both featured in the show. Thank you Derby Book Festival
