📍 Spondon, Derby Ran by Faye Michelle Quinney who has worked in many aspects of the entertainment industry (Not only as a west-end performer but also a teacher, lecturer, consultant, studio manager and as an assistant casting associate for Casting Direct

or Mark Summers (Madonna, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Kanye West) Studio84 really is Derby's centre for theatrical and freestyle arts training. Offering lessons in all aspects of the performing arts: Acting, Acrobatics, Ballet, Freestyle, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Tumble & Singing and operating under the I.D.T.A, I.S.T.D, N.A.T.D & L.A.M.D.A associations. The School holds a show every two years at the prestigious Derby Theatre, as well as annual demos, fundraisers & our Christmas Cabaret at Derbys famous Rolls Royce Pavilion. In addition to this, pupils can take graded examinations, participate in dance festivals & competitions and also audition for professional productions in theatre, TV & Film. Our pupils have appeared in shows at Derby Theatre, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Nottingham Playhouse, The Duchess theatre to name but a few. Many of our students have successfully gained places at: Royal Ballet associates, Elmhurts associates, BTUK, MTBC, Talent First and The Central Television Workshop associate programmes- as well as full time training at Studio 79, EPA, The Hammond, Performers, Italia Conti and Urdang

Studio84 has associations with top London talent agency Alphabet Kids as well as many other industry connections.

This Friday is the final session of our Studio84 Summer Series — and what a guest we have to finish with! 🤩

We have the amazing Travis Kerry coming all the way up from London’s West End for our Michael Jackson Experience! 🕺✨

Travis appeared in MJ the Musical, where he was also Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer — so who better to teach you all those iconic MJ moves?!

His incredible credits also include Hamilton, Evita and Aladdin in the West End, as well as appearing in the movies Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Wicked. 🌟

There are still spaces available and I would recommend the workshop for ages 8+.

✨ Our Summer Series isn’t just for the big kids! ✨

Our lovely Dinky Dancers and Mini Movers have been getting involved in all the summer fun too! 💖🌈

Last week we had our magical Disney Dreams morning, filled with singing, dancing, creativity and plenty of imagination. 👑✨

The children enjoyed princess games, designing their very own princess dresses and toys, taking part in acting and drama, and learning some lovely songs from Toy Story. 🎭🎶🧸

A huge thank you to Miss Helen for coming in and running the morning for us. The children had such a fabulous time! 🫶

And now we have just one more workshop to go next Friday, 21st August! 🌟

This time we’ll be enjoying street dance, singing and all things K-Pop Demon Hunters! 🎤🔥💃

We can’t wait for one final morning of summer fun! ☀️💖

We still have spaces available on our Flip Factory – Tricks & Acro Workshop, and we’re delighted to now open this workshop to dancers from all schools (with permission from your current principal/teacher) 💜

And WOW… what a special guest we have! 🌟

We’re welcoming the incredible Amal Fawzi, a world-renowned acro and gymnastics coach.

🏆✨ A few more celebrations before the craziness of show week took over! ✨🏆

We still had some very special achievements to recognise in class, and we couldn’t let them go uncelebrated! 💖

A huge congratulations to Ivy and Lucy, who were both awarded our Worker of the Week trophies for their fantastic effort and attitude in class. 🌟👏

We also presented Imogen with a special prize for becoming our newest Under 12 Fast Intermediate dancer — what an amazing achievement! 💃🔥

And another big well done to Robin, who received her prize for winning the Highest Mark Baby Trophy at Devotion Dance Festival. 🏆✨

So many lovely achievements and proud moments for our pupils. Well done, girls — keep working hard and shining! 💕🌟

🎭✨ WHAT FANTASTIC NEWS TO RECEIVE DURING OUR SUMMER HOLIDAYS! ✨🎭

Following the success of our recent exam session, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have not one… not two… not three… but 20 STUDENTS nominated for the prestigious IDTA Musical Theatre Awards! 🤩🏆

Yes… 20! We are so incredibly proud of every single one of you. 💜

The next stage of the process will be to prepare and send off their video audition submissions, with the hope of making it through to the Grand Final in Blackpool next year! 🎤💃🎬

What an amazing achievement and such a wonderful reflection of all the hard work our students have put into their Musical Theatre training.

A huge well done to all 20 nominees — we are super, super proud of you! 🌟👏

☀️✨ It may be the summer holidays, but we are still busy, busy, busy at the studio! ✨☀️

Alongside our summer workshops, we’ve also been holding private lessons and creating brand-new festival routines for our superstars who take part in theatrical dance competitions. 💃🩰🎭

At festivals, our dancers take to the stage to perform solos, duets and trios across both cabaret and classical sections. Each child has a bespoke routine choreographed especially for them, giving them the opportunity to develop their individuality, confidence and performance skills. 🌟

We absolutely love festivals and everything competitive dancing teaches our pupils — whether they choose to pursue performing arts as a career or simply dance because they love it. 💖

Competition teaches children:

✨ How to work hard towards their goals
✨ Resilience, determination and passion
✨ How to celebrate victories with pride
✨ How to handle disappointment graciously
✨ How to dust themselves off and try again
✨ That life may not always go exactly as planned, but you keep working, improving and giving your very best…. And sooooo much more!

We are so proud to be a competitive festival school, and we cannot wait for our next round of competitions, beginning with ✨ Starbound Events ✨ Festival of Stars! 🏆🌟
