Close to 100 new folders ready to go out to students across the MLC Derby network. Packaged with all new practice diarys and big enough for grade books, students can now keep all their notes in one place.

Tutors will be giving these out to all students in our venue and our partnering schools across the next two weeks.

We’re excited to announce that the MLC has recently been awarded the status of a fully Licensed Organisation (LO) in order to deliver the entire Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE). This exciting opportunity enables participants to register with us so that we can support them through all sections of the Award, and across all three levels.

Paul Hose, Chief Executive at the MLC, commented:

“We are delighted to be one of the first creative organisations to offer these prestigious Awards, enabling young participants with a creative flair to explore new challenges and opportunities. We anticipate this will widen the participation for those wanting to achieve a DofE with a particular focus within the Arts.”

Beginning in January 2025, we intend to start offering the Bronze Award, with other levels following shortly thereafter. Places are limited so if you or your child are interested in getting involved with the DofE through us, please enquire via our website (link in bio).

Drum Hand and Foot Technique Masterclass in association with Drago Drums and Drumnosis in Nottingham.

We have a great opportunity to take part in a drum masterclass on Saturday 13th July.
The session is free for all MLC students, and ticketed for non-MLC students. All abilities are welcome, but places are limited and given on a first come and first serve basis.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new MLC Choir and we would love you to be a part of it!

The weekly hour-long sessions will take place each Tuesday evening at Abbey Road Music in West Bridgford. It will focus on singing as part of an ensemble and harmony work amongst much more.

We believe in embracing creativity and fostering a vibrant musical community. Each voice is unique, and we want to celebrate that individuality within the harmonious blend of our choir. We will also be securing additional performance opportunities throughout the year.
