Fancy adding a little vintage charm or a distressed finish to your cards? Then this little crafting tool might be just what you need.

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has sanding blocks? Have you spotted them hiding in the September–December catalogue?

These handy little tools are perfect for adding extra interest to your crafting. You can use them to rough up the edges of your cardstock for that lovely vintage look, gently distress your card to reveal the white core underneath, or lightly sand over an embossed image to make those raised details stand out.

It’s amazing how a little bit of sanding can completely change the look of a project. So, tell me, had you spotted them in the catalogue, or have they passed you by? And do you use sanding blocks in your crafting? I’d love to know x

Well, hello and a very warm welcome to all my lovely new followers. It’s so lovely to see new faces joining our little crafty corner, and I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for being here

There are a right mixture of stamps and stencils being used together in this Anniversary card. Some have been in my stash for 20 years or more whilst others have been retired recently.

It's good to be reminded of what we have tucked away in the back of a cupboard.

If you’ve not come across Paper Pumpkin before, it’s a monthly crafting kit that arrives with everything you need to make the projects inside. There are pre-cut pieces, stamps, ink, embellishments, adhesive and instructions, so you can just open the box and get crafting.

And one thing I really wanted to mention, because I know this has put some people off in the past, is that you don’t have to commit to three months. You can choose the pay-as-you-go option and take it one month at a time. So if you fancy giving it a try, you can simply order the kit you fancy without having to sign up for a three-month commitment.

I’m planning a kit night at The Craft Room on 13th November, where we can get together, open our card making kits and/or Paper Pumpkins and have fun putting them together. I think it is a lovely excuse for a bit of crafting, a chat and a catch up.

Oh dear… Stampin’ Up! have released two brand new kits and I think they might be rather lovely. Both are festive, but completely different.

One is all about gorgeous Christmas plaid 🎄 and the other is full of cute pets 🐾. I really can’t decide which one I like best… although I have a sneaky feeling the pets might just be winning me over.

What about you? Which one would you choose, Christmas plaid or the cute pets?
