I can share a few cards that I’ve finally finished off and added to my ‘box of cards to go’.

Sometimes it really doesn’t take much to turn a nearly-finished card into a finished one, a couple of sentiments, an insert and an embellishment here and there, and suddenly they’re ready to be used.

Do you have some Projects Half Done (PHD's) that need a few bits and pieces doing to them?

I wanted to share this lovely little Christmas stocking that I was lucky enough to receive when we went to the Stampin’ Up! get-together in Birmingham recently.

It was created by fellow demonstrator Gill Preece, Papercraft Blessings, from Bristol, and I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. There are so many lovely little details to it.

Gill created it using the Quilted Season Stamp Set and Die Bundle, along with the A Stitched Season Designer Series Papers.

And there’s a little surprise too… tucked behind the stocking is a small box, just waiting for a little Christmas treat to be added.

The twine makes it perfect for hanging on the Christmas tree, although I think I might have to find somewhere to display mine where I can admire it!

I just thought it was such a lovely idea, and it was a very special little gift to bring home from our Birmingham get-together.

Thank you, Gill — I absolutely love it!

I thought I would share a little information about the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Virtual Card Retreat, which is taking place from 1st–3rd October 2026.

It sounds like it is going to be a lovely few days of crafting, inspiration and getting together with other crafters, all from the comfort of home. There will be up to seven hours of crafting each day, with the sessions starting at 9.00 a.m.

The retreat kit includes everything you need to make 15 cards, including two stamp sets, a die set, Designer Series Paper, Two-Tone Cardstock with the cutting guidelines printed on the reverse, pre-cut printed images, embellishments, envelopes, Basic White Cardstock and a sheet of gold foil.

There is also a lovely crafting community that goes along with it. You’ll have access to an exclusive Facebook group where you can meet other crafters, share what you’re making, ask questions, see everyone’s projects coming together and generally enjoy some crafty company.

During the retreat there will be LIVE sessions on Facebook, including presentations from members of the Stampin’ Up! team, including CEO Sara Douglass. And, because we can’t always be sitting at our craft desks at exactly the right time, everything will be recorded and available to watch afterwards, so you can craft along at your own pace.

You’ll also receive detailed, step-by-step instructions for all the projects before the retreat, so you can have a look through everything beforehand and check what you already have in your crafty stash. There may be a few additional supplies needed, but you might find you already have many of them tucked away in your craft room.

It sounds like a wonderful excuse to set aside some dedicated crafting time, meet up virtually with fellow crafters and, of course, make lots of lovely cards along the way.
Three days, 15 cards and plenty of crafty inspiration… what’s not to like?

A little bit of bargain hunting anyone?

The Last Chance section has been updated, which means there are some lovely products looking for new crafty homes. If you have had your eye on something that is in the Last Chance collection, now is definitely the time to have a look. Once these products have gone, they really can be gone for good.

And while we’re talking about exciting things…. Have you seen the 12 Days of Creativity Advent Calendar? Because apparently counting down to Christmas isn't exciting enough unless we can do it with crafting supplies. It’s such a lovely idea for anyone who enjoys a little creative surprise each day in the run-up to Christmas.

So, whether you fancy a bargain or want to make December extra crafty, there are plenty of reasons to have a look. Last Chance bargains + Christmas creativity = a pretty good combination to me

Just when you thought the brand-new catalogue was enough to keep you busy along come the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives.

The Online Exclusives have been updated with lots of lovely new products, giving us even more crafty temptation to explore.
And the beauty of Online Exclusives is that you don’t have to wait for them to appear in a traditional catalogue, they pop up throughout the year, giving us even more new things to discover.

There are some gorgeous additions this time around and, naturally, I’ve been having a little look. Purely in the interests of research, obviously.

If you love discovering new stamps, dies, papers and embellishments, it’s definitely worth having a wander through the updated collection.

Just remember… browsing can be dangerous for the wish list.

Well, September has certainly arrived with a lot going on in the Stampin’ Up! world. There are so many exciting new things happening at the moment that I’m not quite sure where to start… so grab a cuppa and let’s have a little look.

First of all, the brand-new September–December Catalogue is now live. Have you got your copy? if not, get in touch and we can arrange for you to collect it or I can post it out. It will take us all the way through to the end of December and, as you would expect, it is packed with gorgeous new products, beautiful papers, fabulous colours and lots of inspiration for all those autumn, Halloween, Christmas and winter projects.

And then there are the Online Exclusives… they’ve had a lovely update too, with lots of new goodies joining the collection. There are some absolute beauties in there. If you would like an email with the new list attached, do let me know.

We also have a brand-new Product of the Month — the Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer Series Papers. And if, like me, you can never have too much beautiful Designer Series Paper, these are definitely worth a look.

There are TWO brand-new Kits as well — Floral Promenade and Merry Manor. I have a feeling these are going to be incredibly popular, so if either of them catches your eye, don’t leave it too long.

Then there’s the Aspens of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit, which needs to be ordered by 10th September. It looks like such a lovely autumnal kit and would make a fabulous little creative treat.

The Last Chance section has also been updated, so if there are products you’ve had your eye on, now is definitely the time to have a look. Once they’re gone, they really are gone.

And because apparently there still isn’t quite enough crafting going on… there’s also the 12 Days of Creativity Advent Calendar and a Card Retreat to look forward to.

So yes… September is shaping up to be a rather exciting month in my crafty world. There really is something for everyone, whether you love Christmas crafting, pretty papers, quick-and-easy kits, finding a bargain or simply having a good rummage through all the new goodies.

If you haven’t had a look yet, pop over and see what’s new. You might want to put the kettle on first though… I have a feeling your wish list could be growing.

We had another lovely catch up last night at our Derby Dabblers monthly get-together.
There was lots of creativity flowing, as you can see from the photographs below, with everyone busy crafting and having fun.
And, of course, our bingo caller did a wonderful job keeping us all on our toes.
Another lovely evening of crafting, laughter and good company. It’s always wonderful to spend time together and see what everyone creates.
Our next get together is on Friday 25th September x

Have you had a go at the one sheet stamping wonder card technique?

I was introduced to it by a fellow demonstrator Ruth Trice, and fell in love creating, with this technique. Using your favourite stamps, you stamp all over a blank piece of card using pretty colours. The best bit is that you cut up your works of art and turn them into card fronts for your cards. You then use the same coloured ink for your card base, matt layers, embellishments and sentiments. It is so theraputic. Okay so it is a little more technical than I have explained but I am sure you get the gist.

These are my two favourites and I wont part with them. Its a reminder of the pretty colours I used as well as the stamps.

I shall be organising a whole day in the The Craft Room, Derby in November to make some more. x
