Hi everyone, I am the face behind PQA Denbigh and I thought I’d properly introduce myself!
I’m Danniella, and I live in Llandudno with my husband, our four year old son, our 15 week old daughter, and my stepdaughter. Our home is a busy, happy one, full of noise, laughter, and a little bit of chaos most days, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
My love for performing started early and led me to complete a BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts, followed by a Foundation in Musical Theatre at Stageworks Performing Arts in Cambridge. I then trained in Professional Musical Theatre and Dance at the Urdang Academy in London on a full scholarship. While I was there, I also qualified as a Fitness Instructor alongside my dance exams
After graduating, I spent time touring the UK as a professional singer and dancer before heading off to perform on cruise ships. I was lucky enough to be part of productions like ‘Elegies’ at the Shaw Theatre, ‘The Boyfriend’at Her Majesty’s Theatre, and ‘West End to Broadway’ on tour. Performing at sea gave me some unforgettable experiences, including playing roles like Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Baby in Dirty Dancing, and Fantine in Les Miserables, as well as performing in the renowned show Musica Maestro alongside incredible opera singers from around the world
Since coming back to land life, I have continued working as a solo vocalist around the UK, as well as teaching Musical Theatre and Fitness classes. I have also choreographed and performed in shows such as Oliver, Seussical, and Shrek, which I absolutely love
I first joined PQA back in 2017, teaching our youngest performers in Poppets at PQA Conwy, and it still holds such a special place in my heart. On the busiest days, you will still find me in there, dancing like a chicken or stomping like a giant, and honestly, there is no better feeling than seeing those little faces light up
Teaching means so much more to me than just what happens on stage. I care deeply about helping children grow in confidence, make friends, and feel proud of who they are. The ethos of PQA is something I truly believe in, creating a space where every child feels welcome, supported, and free to be themselves
As a mum, I completely understand how important it is to feel your children are safe and cared for. That is something my team and I take incredibly seriously. We always make sure everything is in place, up to date, and done properly, so you can feel confident your children are in safe hands while they are with us
I truly believe performing arts is for everyone. Whether it becomes a career or simply something they enjoy each week, the skills, confidence, and friendships they gain are so special and can last a lifetime. Every child deserves their moment to shine
It has been the most amazing nine years with PQA, and I feel so lucky to have taught some of my students for that entire time
If you have ever been part of my classes, I would love to hear your favourite PQA memory with me 💛
