I’m so excited to be joining Lumora this September as one of their workshop facilitators.
Being invited to share a creative space at a weekend centred around wellbeing, nature and connection feels incredibly special.
Although I’m not formally trained as an artist, creativity has always been a thread running through my life. Painting has become a place of calm, a way to slow down, quieten the mind and reconnect with myself. It’s never been about creating something perfect, but about being present in the moment. I truly believe that creativity belongs to everyone.
My workshop has been inspired by one of my greatest loves: the moon (if you know me it’s become a healthy obsession 😆)
I find comfort in its phases and the way they reflect our own journey through life. Just as the moon moves through darkness into light and back again, we too experience seasons of growth, rest, letting go and beginning again. Every phase has wisdom, and every phase deserves to be honoured.
As someone who finds deep meaning in nature, the changing seasons and the ancient rhythms of the Wheel of the Year, it feels especially fitting that we’ll gather just before Mabon, the Autumn Equinox. A time traditionally associated with balance, gratitude and the gathering of the harvest, Mabon gently reminds us to pause, reflect on what we’ve nurtured and appreciate the abundance already present in our lives before we turn towards the quieter months ahead.
These themes have quietly influenced every part of this workshop.
Together we’ll create a moon-inspired piece using watercolour, pressed flowers and seeded paper in a session designed with calm, intention and creativity at its heart. You don’t need any artistic experience—just an open mind and a willingness to enjoy the process.
My hope is that you leave not only with something beautiful to take home, but with a sense of stillness, a little more confidence in your own creativity, and a reminder that, just like the moon, you don’t have to be full to be whole.
