We're back at The Lighthouse in Deal tomorrow (Monday) evening for the second instalment of The Miu Orchestra. Grab your instrument and come down. Noises between 6.30-8pm.

The very first meeting of the Miu Orchestra went very well. Thanks to all that attended and to The Lighthouse for hosting.

Phil will be appearing on Dominic King's radio show on BBC Kent tonight at about 8.15pm to talk about it.

We are still looking for people to participate in our online video collaboration. Visit www.miuorchestra.co.uk to join in. Watch the videos, learn a part (scores available) or make up your own part. Film yourself playing along and film it. Submit your video using the form on the website.

The MIU Orchestra's first outing.

Here is a track co-written by Stewart Hughes (Drums), James Gow (Bass), Ben Powling (Sax) and me (Guitar and Keys).

The idea is that whatever you play you should be able to join in on one of the parts - or make your own part up.

Film yourself (on a phone or camera) playing along to one of the videos then upload your video on the website. We'll mix it all together to create the Orchestra.

Happy New Year!
A slight name and image change.
This page will now be home to more musical projects beyond the Isolation Choir including the new MIU Orchestra (miuorchestra.co.uk).
MIU stands for Make It Up. The MIU Orchestra will be a mixed ability, mixed age, mixed instrument ensemble that writes its own music. We will be attempting a big collaborative video soon (much like the Isolation Choir videos).
Dust off the old violin, grab that clarinet from under your bed or just ring your niece or nephew to tell them about it. Everyone is welcome and we hope to make a big, lovely noise together.

Please share with any instrumental players you know of any ability.
