If you’ve ever watched Britain’s Got Talent and wondered how mind reading works… this is your chance to experience it live.

Here’s a simple test.

Imagine walking around your wedding during the drinks reception.

Would you rather see:

Guests staring at their phones?

Or guests laughing together?

Because that’s often the difference between a wedding people attend…

And a wedding people experience.

A surprising number of wedding-day problems aren’t really problems at all.

They’re simply moments where nobody has thought about guest experience.

The best weddings feel effortless.

But they’re rarely accidental.

Nobody talks about this wedding problem.

You’ve just got married.

The photographs are happening.

The venue is turning the room around.

The wedding breakfast isn’t for another hour.

And suddenly…

100 people are standing around wondering what to do.

It’s one of the biggest momentum killers of the entire day.

The irony?

It’s also one of the biggest opportunities.

Because when guests are laughing, talking and sharing experiences together, something changes.

The atmosphere changes.

The energy changes.

Strangers become friends.

And the rest of the wedding feels completely different.

The best weddings don’t just fill time.

They create moments.

Ah, the glamour of showbusiness… 🎩

Unfortunately, tomorrow night’s IMAGINATION Magic & Mind-Reading Night at Acregate Lane Labour Club has been postponed due to low ticket sales.

It may be the World Cup.

It may be asking people to go out two nights on the trot in the middle of the week.

It may also just be one of those things.

Rather than perform mind reading for four people and a packet of dry roasted peanuts, we’ve decided to come back on a better date when we can give the night the audience and atmosphere it deserves.

Everyone who booked has been refunded.

Thank you to those who did support it — I really do appreciate it.

We’ll be back.

And when we are, I’ll still know what you’re thinking. Probably.

You can spend £30,000 on a wedding and still have bored guests.

That sounds ridiculous.

But I see it all the time.

Couples spend months planning the dress.

The flowers.

The venue.

The menu.

The seating plan.

Then almost no thought goes into what 80, 100 or 150 people are actually going to be doing for six or seven hours.

The result?

Awkward silences.

People glued to their phones.

Guests leaving early.

A wedding can look amazing in photographs and still feel flat in real life.

The weddings people remember aren’t always the most expensive.

They’re the ones where people laughed.

Talked.

Connected.

And felt part of something special.

That’s what guests remember years later.

Not the colour of the chair covers.

What do you remember most from the best wedding you’ve attended?

Some nights remind you how much work goes on behind the scenes before a show even begins.

Saturday night I was at the Saville Arms in Mirfield with my hypnosis and mentalism show.

And I want to give a proper shout-out to Joanne and the team.

They worked really hard to give the evening the best possible chance of success.

A performance area was created in front of the bar.

The room was set up.

The space was made.

And everything possible was done from the venue side to make the show work.

That matters.

Because live entertainment is never just about the person with the microphone.

It is about the people who take a chance on putting something different on.

The people who move furniture.

The people who promote it.

The people who try to create something for their customers.

So a huge thank you to Joanne and everyone at the Saville Arms for the effort, support and hospitality.

It was genuinely appreciated.

And as every live performer knows…

Every show teaches you something.

Your wedding guests will remember how your day felt.

Not just how it looked.

That’s why my next wedding fayre is one you’ll want in the diary.

I’ll be exhibiting at The Wrightington Hotel Wedding Showcase this Sunday, 28th June, from 1pm – 4pm.

You’ll get to see the venue beautifully dressed for a wedding day.

You’ll be able to enjoy fizz and canapés.

You’ll meet Samantha, the wedding co-ordinator.

And you’ll discover ideas to make your wedding feel personal, polished and unforgettable.

I’ll be there showing couples how magic, mind reading and modern wedding hosting can transform the moments where guests are usually just standing around.

The drinks reception.

The photos.

The gaps between courses.

The evening changeover.

Those little “in-between” moments can become some of the best memories of the whole day.

No booking needed.

Just pop along.

And come and find me while you’re there.

I promise my stand will be far more interesting than another leaflet.

This week IMAGINATION arrives at two fantastic venues.

Bring friends.

Bring family.

Bring that one person who says, “I don’t believe in any of this.”

Some venues really do go the extra mile to make live entertainment work.

Saturday night I was at the Saville Arms in Mirfield with my hypnosis and mentalism show.

And I want to give a proper thank you to Joanne and the team.

They worked hard to create the best possible set-up for the evening.

The performance area was placed right in front of the bar, which meant changing how the room would usually operate.

They effectively closed off the front section of the bar and asked people to use the sides for drinks, all so the show had a clear space and the audience had the best chance to gather round and enjoy it.

That’s not a small thing on a Saturday night.

Especially in a local.

Because it’s never easy asking regulars to adapt to a different set-up in a place they know so well.

But Joanne and the team did everything they could to give the night every opportunity to work.

And that deserves a proper thank you.

Live entertainment in a pub is never just about booking someone to turn up with a microphone.

It’s about the venue backing the night.

Shaping the room.

Managing the flow.

Creating the space.

And giving their customers something different to experience.

So thank you to Joanne and everyone at the Saville Arms for the effort, support and hospitality.

It was genuinely appreciated.

Mirfield, thank you for having me.
