Sad news that good friend, fellow athlete and pioneering DJ of Platinum DJs - Marcus Scroop passed away peacefully after his 10 week battle with cancer. Thoughts go out to his wife Angela who has been a rock for him throughout the process.

Picture above is from happier times where Marcus worked as resident DJ in Yates - Leicester Square, London in the very early 00’s when phones were phones and pictures were harder to come by.

It was Marcus who talked me into starting Platinum DJs and helped me get it off the ground. So many good memories from our times together and a true gentleman. He was a fellow 800m runner at Bexley Athletics Club where we became friends and got sidetracked with Guinness and the attractions of the London nightlife. Despite being a DJ himself in various clubs in Leicester Square and the Tattershall Castle, on nights off we would regularly attend O’Neill’s Leytonstone with DJ Claydon and The Garage on Highbury Corner where Marcus educated me on the thrill of the Indie music scene. As a talented musician his passion for Indie was contagious and we still play those tracks today.

He will be dearly missed.

Sorry you have left us so early Marcus. Rest in Peace Brother 🙏🎧❤️

Receiving feedback like this makes everything we do worthwhile. A huge thank you to Frederick and his wife, Laura for their kind words following their wedding at Kingswood House near Crystal Palace in London on 4th July. ❤️

Before the big day, our DJ - Kev arranged a call with the couple to discuss their plans, favourite music and any special requests, making sure everything was exactly as they wanted it.

On the day itself, Kev arrived well ahead of schedule and, inspired by the couple's own Spotify playlist, created a soundtrack that kept guests dancing all evening while happily taking requests from family and friends.

We're delighted that Kev helped create such a memorable celebration, and we're so grateful to have been part of their special day.

A real pleasure to have a 20 minute chat with comedian Tim Vine while waiting to start - renowned for holding the record for the most jokes told in an hour. Watching him run the auction was a masterclass in entertainment.

✨ What an incredible evening at Epsom Racecourse! ✨

On Saturday night, Platinum DJs had the privilege of providing the full AV production and entertainment for a fantastic charity event in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Research and The Children's Burns Trust.

A real pleasure DJing alongside Britain's Got Talent winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones, who amazed guests with his incredible magic show before unexpectedly borrowing my phone and capturing the atmosphere from the dance floor himself! 🎩🎧

From the packed dance floor to the amazing generosity shown throughout the evening, it was a night to remember and an honour to play a small part in raising money for two truly wonderful causes.

A huge thank you to Ideal Medical Solutions, everyone who attended, donated and helped make the event such a success. ❤️

💙 This is why we love weddings...

On Saturday, our very own ex-Kiss FM DJ - Steve Facey had the pleasure of DJing Yasmin & Alex's wedding reception at the beautiful in Bexley.

From the very first guests hitting the dance floor to the final song of the night, the energy never dropped. Watching family and friends of every generation celebrating together is exactly what a wedding party should be about.

But our favourite moment? ❤️

At the end of the night, Yasmin & Alex gave Steve a huge cuddle to say thank you. Moments like that mean everything to us because they're a reminder that we're not just there to play music—we're there to help create memories that last a lifetime.

Congratulations once again to the new Mr & Mrs! 🥂 Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.

Diom Events is laying on a Classic Trance Event at The Exhibit, right next to Balham Tube and Balham Station in London. Promoter Diana has put a lot of thought and effort into making this an immersive and spiritual experience and DJ Jason Dupuy will be mixing up a classic Trance set from the 90's and early 00's to bring those memories and emotions flooding back.

Absolute bangers all night with Kiss FM, Kisstory & Tomorrowland One World Radio Presenter & -djs to bring 90's anthems to life! 🎧🔥

We had the absolute pleasure of packing the dance floor for the .co.uk team. Huge thanks to Mel and AJ for trusting us with your premium corporate event—you guys laid on such a special event!

Our thumping 12,000 Watt QSC sound system, Full Colour Infinity Dancefloor, Dancefloor Lighting & Mood Lighting with Pioneer Decks and Mixing Desk all helped to create an amazing atmosphere.
