SEPTEMBER 2026 - Welcome to the wobble, our confidence ostrich

We are launching short courses in various burlesque props, ranging from boas, gloves, stockings and more.

These courses are designed to help you become familiar with the props and different ways of incorporating them into your acts / routines or just for a bit of fun. Perfect to accompany / compliment any classes you may already be attending.

Classes will be limited to 6 people and will be 1hr each.

They will be held at our Pole & Plumes studio in Darlington on a Thursday evening at 6pm.

Here’s a few drills for you to help build your strength and help a straddled climb

I’M BACK 👋🏽

First class back after a week in another time zone followed by 28hrs of travelling to another wedding in beautiful Cumbria… needless to say … Pole Instructors are human too 😉😵‍💫

BUT as promised here’s a weekly video for you. This one is some invert drills…

First off is deadlifts, so I’m in my invert grip, pulling those shoulder blades down, engaging that core and activating those biceps 💪🏽

Next I’m adding in some leg lifts with a little tilt, this helps you work out where your body needs to be for that next step and keeps control for when those legs go over your head

And finally the legs extending over my head, normally I’d do a more elegant dismount but… jet lag ✈️ 🥱

BICEPS & TRICEPS OF STEEL 💪🏽

Here’s a nice simple move to help build up that arm strength, in my classes we do these in reps of 10… don’t be deceived, if you do it right, keep those arms and core engaged and move slowly you’ll feel the burn 😉

Flexibility and stretching is an important part of pole fitness, and we know upper body strength and core are fundamental but….

To get those lovely straight lines and silhouettes with your legs, your QUADS need to be strong too! Thats why pole is a full body workout. Every muscle needs to be conditioned to execute and hold those tricks 💕💕
