I've been promoting live music since 1996, when I became a committee member of Darlington R ‘n’ B Club. I started Gasto Promotions to promote other styles

Living in a smallish town [ approx. 100,000 pop.], we don't have many well know musicians/bands play here. We are used to travelling out of town to attend gigs. I want to bring some of these bands to my home town and put Darlington on the touring circuit. I enjoy a varied taste in music, so I'm happy to try promoting lots of different styles, and as long as people can support what I do, then I'll

continue to bring bands to Darlington that wouldn't normally be asked to come. I also enjoy a good relationship with local bands and musicians too, and want to help promote the local scene. I hope that I've brought something to the music scene in Darlington that people wouldn't normally have had the chance to see in the town. And hopefully they have enjoyed it.

OUSIDE THE ORIGINAL

Outside The Original are an exciting project from James Finnigan of Hue and Cry and Stiltskin fame. These guys don't appreciate just one Prog Rock band, they love and are passionate about all the greats. Their aim is to take Prog fans back in time to the 70's performing a mix of classics from the likes of ELP, Genesis, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Rush, and Yes.
If you are not one of the Sheep and prefer to be a bit more Schizoid, then come along - you may need to go through a Roundabout or two and by then Suppers Ready, open the Musical Box, sit back Have a Cigar and watch the Heart of the Sunrise - get your tickets early for the full Cinema Show!

ALCHEMY - THE PINK FLOYD SHOW
Saturday 30th May
Forum Music Studios - Darlington

The Alchemy Pink Floyd Show features all the same band members as Alchemy Live, the UK's finest Dire Straits tribute.
Talking backstage about their favourite music on many occasions, Pink Floyd was always in the top three bands mentioned, unsurprisingly, various Floyd riffs crept in during soundchecks & resulted in them jamming out Money, Us & Them, Wish You Were Here etc.
It was only a matter of time until they decided to go the whole hog (flying hog, of course) and launch a full Pink Floyd show alongside their already established and successful Dire Straits show.
Only one problem, who would sing Great Gig in the Sky?...
Luckily frontman/guitarist Martin Ledger has also been a member of Heather Findlay's touring band for many years and over a coffee asked if she would be interested in singing for the new show.
Heather is an incredible singer and having started her career fronting Mostly Autumn, she formed her own band in 2010 and has released numerous albums and dvds since.
