One of Cinelandia Film Club's regulars (ok, I've only actually done it once but it still counts) is going to be the Labour candidate for Leigh in the May 2018 elections. She's organising a film night to raise funds for the local food bank and her campaign. I'll be there selling treats and they'll be a bar selling booze and naturally, a film. She's chosen to show I, Daniel Blake which is perfect. So if you support either women in Politics, British Cinema, the Labour party or Food banks please get yourself a ticket and come along. If you don't support any of those things then you must be a real piece of work.

Happy New Year everyone. This year, as well as The Florida Project, Cinelandia will be showing Call me by your name, Get out, God's own country, Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri and Ghost Story. It will also be serving curry, chilli and of course alcohol.
