ENJOY LIVING COLOUR EXHIBITION AT St Andrews Museum

Part of a group known as the Scottish Colourists, Samuel John Peploe (1871–1935) was a Scottish Post-Impressionist painter. Peploe is best known for his still life paintings, depicting fruit, ceramics, and flowers. His early works were darker, while later works show flatter, more vibrant compositions with increased abstraction.

Come and see this artwork and much more in our Living Colour Exhibition, part of RSA200.

RSA200: Celebrating Together is a partnership project bringing together hundreds of artists, partners, galleries and institutions to mark the bicentenary of the Royal Scottish Academy.

ENGAGING IN ARTS AND CULTURE IS HEALTH ENHANCING: Thanks to Cupar Museum and Heritage Centre - Fife for sharing the news.

It's official! In today's national press. Reading or going to a museum could be as important as exercise in slowing ageing say the experts. An academic study has provided evidence that arts and cultural engagement should be recognised as a health-promoting behaviour in a similar way to exercise. See you soon at Cupar Museum! Thanks to Cupar Youth Musical Theatre for the image from Disco Inferno, 2010.
