Tomorrow is day! 🥳 I LOVE this market - it’s a highlight of my year, not least because it’s in support of such a fabulous cause, , who look after people diagnosed with cancer (and their families), through practical help, advice and support, and by providing a safe and welcoming (un-hospitally) space on site at Ninewells.
I already knew this when I first started participating in a few years ago. But now I REALLY know it. Why? Because my friend and fellow maker Su , who was my carpool buddy and table neighbour at last year’s event, has since received a cancer diagnosis and is now a regular frequenter of the Maggies centre.
Su has been singing the praises of the centre and its staff since she began treatment, making this year’s market all the more meaningful. And while Su can’t attend the market in person this year while her treatment continues, don’t worry! Her incredible handbound books and other bookish goodies will be there! Myself and Katharine will be jointly manning a table for Su, so please come and say hi and have a browse with us tomorrow. It would mean the world.
We’ll each be donating a percentage of our sales to Maggie’s, and pictured here is the raffle prize I’ll be offering tomorrow. Come and see us all - there will be so many amazing crafters and makers there. A good day out for sure!
