Another Live Music & Food Evening is on the horizon, and this time we have two amazing artists with us - Harry Gallagher and Miggins Fiddle.

Prepare for a great night of poetry & folk music, riffing on tradition with something a little bit new. Alongside some good grub will be served by our head chef - menu to be announced!

Come to the centre at 6pm, no tickets needed, and settle in for a great night. See you there πŸ˜‰πŸŽΆ

Many thanks to our sponsors and funders for this year.

We're very grateful to Joanne Wishart - Artist. She's pictured in the mask made by her staff member for her lovely art shop as part of the Mask Trail, with children who won prizes for their masks, judged by Joanne.

Thanks to the National Education Union for dance sponsorship this year, along with the Sir James Knott Trust.

We had funding for the past two years from the The National Lottery Community Fund , and from a few individuals.

The High Sheriff's Fund, via the Community Foundation North East funded the App project with Tyne Met College students. And we have The Sarah Morgan Foundation to thank for contribution to the Choirs Together project and the development of the haunting Songscape: a love letter to the North East coast

Well! We’re just coming down to earth after the amazing Festival on Saturday!

Thanks so much to everyone who came. We think there were probably twice as many people as last year, and all the venues were pretty close to capacity all day. Hope you all had a great day!

We really have to thank the great Ray Laidlaw who opened our Festival. To those of us of a certain age, he’s a titan of the music scene. He’s also a lovely, kind, local resident who really appreciated our theme of Communities Together. We encourage you to support his charity Sunday for Sammy, developing local young musicians.

Hope you had a good day, too, Ray, and thanks again!

We loved seeing all the children at the Festival, dancing as fairies, or in national costumes, making and wearing masks, drawing portraits, getting down with paint and glitter, learning Urban Dance in the underpass...

Let us know if there's any activity you or your child particularly liked or even one we could bring to the festival another time!

Thank you so much to all those who entered into the activities so enthusiastically!
