Our inaugural All-Day event at The Patriot in South Wales has been postponed. In the last few days, we here at Taking Prog To The People have had horrible news. Our friends Temples On Mars the headliners for the gig have lost most, perhaps all of their equipment in a huge fire at the complex that their recording studio & storage facility is based at. For details of what happened follow the links to the two articles, one from London Fire Brigade’s website & the other from The Independent newspaper.

We’re all absolutely devastated for Temples. They are a talented band and a great bunch of guys. We have been in contact with them several times over the last few days trying to work out what could be done. They finally gained access to the studio on Monday 22nd and the news is not good. Whilst the fire itself did not do its worst, the smoke and especially the tens of thousands of gallons of water have wrought havoc. They are still trying to work out what might be serviceable precisely, but the truth is that nothing electronic has survived and even the guitars and drums are a complete mess.
So reluctantly today we have taken the decision to postpone the gig and are going to reschedule for June 2027 with the same line up in order to do justice to Temples On Mars & give them time to rebuild, take care of the inevitable protracted insurance claim and get their heads around the situation they find themselves in through no fault of their own.
We know you all will join us in wishing the band a swift and uncomplicated resolution to their current predicament.
Watch this space for news of the rescheduling of this gig and perhaps of another event featuring the same line up once Temples are back on their feet. Good luck guys.
