🎉🎶 WE’RE AMPED UP! 🎶🎉
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Jack Drum Arts has been awarded three years of funding from Youth Music through the Catalyser Fund for our new programme, Amped Up! 🙌
This one means a LOT to us. ❤️ After a run of funding applications that didn’t go our way, we’re incredibly grateful to Youth Music for believing in our work and investing in what we do with children and young people.
Over the next three years, Amped Up will build on more than 15 years of our award-winning work helping young people learn, create and love music, while supporting them to take their first steps towards opportunities in the music industry.
🎸 Music-making for ages 8–18
🎤 Progression opportunities for 16–25 year olds
🥁 Inclusive opportunities for d/Deaf and/or disabled young people
🎧 A focus on those who face barriers to getting involved
❤️ Building confidence, connection and a sense of belonging
🌱 Supporting young people in our underserved rural communities
We know that things like transport, financial hardship, isolation, poor mental health, neurodivergence and additional needs can all create barriers to accessing music and creative opportunities.
Amped Up is about helping to change that.
We’ll build on the work we already do while creating new opportunities for young people to make music, develop skills, connect with others and explore where music might take them.
