Kinross Zero G Honeymoon hotel trial site.
Kinross because of its central location in Scotland could become a Zero G Honeymoon hotel trial site if Elon Musk and Spacex decides to build a space port in Scotland.
Its hoped that the Scottish Government would consider the building of 2 demonstration fairings near the town of Kinross that can be used by Fairing Fillers Firms.
Fairing Fillers Firms? Simply they are firms that build things to go on or in rockets. With a fairing payload of +100 tons and a volume of 1,100 m3 there is a lot of opportunity to produce whole modules or single items for inside the fairings.
For whole modules there is probably the opportunity to under licence have a basic Starship flown to a land site in Scotland for conversion into a variant. Planned variants are:
• Long-duration spacecraft capable of carrying passengers.
• Long-duration spacecraft capable of carrying cargo to interplanetary destinations.
• Short-duration spacecraft capable of to LEO, or Earth-to-Earth spaceflight and satellite delivery.
• Spacecraft to handle the in-space recovery of spacecraft and space debris for return to Earth or movement to another orbit.
• As a tanker: a cargo-only propellant tanker to support the refilling of propellants in Earth orbit.
• Lunar-surface-to-orbit transport: a variant of Starship without airbrakes or heat shielding that is required for in-atmosphere-operations.
• Long-duration spacecraft capable of carrying cargo to interplanetary destinations with no return capability to become a habitation module or infrastructure module on a planetary body.
Potential variants are:
• Super tanker for continuous orbit that is toped up by drone tankers from Earth, for single fuelling of long-duration spacecraft.
• Space station modules.
• Zero G honeymoon hotels.
• Planetary Sabatier processer.
• Planetary ice processor.
• Planetary hospital module.
• Zero G fabrication and 3d printing module.
This does not cover Single items to go inside the fairings.
If Kinross is considered for a Zero G Honeymoon hotel trial there would be the need for couples living nearby to test the ergonomics of the zero G cabins.
