Design your own Japanese uchiwa fan with Japanese calligraphy!
Learn about the beautiful art of brush calligraphy on a Sunday afternoon in a peaceful setting!
You will be shown the basic principles of writing Japanese using traditional Japanese materials of a brush, ink and Japanese paper. You will be guided on how to create your first brush strokes and build on these basic steps to create some lovely Japanese characters on a traditional Japanese fan.
No calligraphy experience or Japanese language skills are necessary.
Adults and children aged 8 or above are welcome
