Photo memories from our Lincolnshire Folktales Project2024
Pyn Stockman - Storyteller led our project with Lincolnshire Folktales working with young people at St Mary’s Catholic Primary, Brigg.

We worked with young people in schools and groups to explore traditional Lincolnshire stories as part of 'Lincolnshire Folk Tales: Origins, Legacies, Connections, Futures’ research project. The aim is to inspire, generate and tell their own new place-based stories. At the end of the project we recorded stories from all three schools who took part in the project and are now available to listen on our website as a podcast

Following our partnership earlier this year with Cysur y Ser, we wanted to say llongyfarchiadau 🎉 to Dani Robertson! Absolutely inspirational and well deserved. LLONGYFARCHIADAU!!

Llongyfarchiadau i Dani Robertson, Swyddog Awyr Dywyll Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, am gael ei henwi yn un o 14 unigolyn ar y ‘Power List: Public Sector’ gan Adroddiad ENDS. 🌠

Mae’r gydnabyddiaeth hon yn gyflawniad sylweddol ac yn adlewyrchu cyfraniad rhagorol Dani at hyrwyddo gwarchod yr awyr dywyll a pholisi amgylcheddol ehangach.

Llongyfarchiadau, Dani, ar dderbyn y gydnabyddiaeth haeddiannol hon.

Congratulations to Dani Robertson, the Eryri National Park Authority Dark Skies Officer, on being named as one of just 14 individuals featured in the ENDS Report’s ‘Power List: Public Sector’. 🌠

This recognition is a significant achievement and reflects Dani’s outstanding contribution to advancing dark skies protection and wider environmental policy.

Llongyfarchiadau, Dani, on this well-deserved recognition.

Project Story Machine is a collaboration between several universities, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council which aims to preserve, explore and provide greater access to folklore traditions in Germany and the UK, through the development of a digital infrastructure called StoryMachine. Dr Anna Milon, who has recently joined Adverse Camber's Board of Trustees will be introducing the ideas behind it at our July forum, with an invitation for storytellers to get more involved.

If you are a storyteller or artist, producer, or want to know more about the sector, we run an open forum for us all come together, to connect, in a safe space.

We are so thrilled to see Phil Okwedy beautiful story, The Gods Are All Here is still touring. Matlock Storytelling Café friends are in for a treat as Phil weaves his personal story of dual heritage in South Wales with myths and folktales from African diaspora. His story is truely astonishing. We toured this show to over 35 venues in 2023-2024 and so pleased more people can still see this powerful storytelling performance.

Last year we worked with Lincolnshire Folktales on their research project Lincolnshire Folk Tales: Origins, Legacies, Connections, Futures’ - a project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (grant number AH/Y003225/1), and is led by Dr Rory Waterman and the Research Fellow Dr Anna Milon in the School of Arts and Humanities at

We led on gathering stories and sharing local folk tales with young people, schools and groups in Lincolnshire.

During the storytelling workshops, we captured what happened and the stories that the young people created. So grab yourself a cuppa and listen to the Podcasts, edited by digital producer Marc Reck.
