Last chance to visit our Secret Postcards exhibition!

Cromer Artspace Secret Postcard Sale is a fundraising event, particularly appropriate for a seaside town featuring beautiful postcard-sized mini masterpieces created by the best local artists around, along with a few big names too.

The postcard creations are all exhibited at Artspace on the Prom, sold at £25 each on a first come first served basis. As it is a secret sale it will be a surprise to find out who created the postcard that you choose, although of course you may think you can guess.

It’s a real feast for the eyes, and it’s all for a wonderful cause too, with all the money raised going to Cromer Artspace providing art and creative opportunities for the community and visitors of Cromer.

The money raised will play a key role in keeping Cromer Artspace’s amazing initiative afloat, and in turn make a real difference to Cromer.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in the event – all the wonderful artists who’ve donated a beautiful creation, to all our volunteers and supporters and to you for visiting and purchasing a postcard.

Dates: Fri 14 Aug – Mon 31 Aug
Time: 11am – 4pm

Head over to St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Oulton this weekend to see the exhibition 'Rooted' by Jessica Perry and Victoria Hall. The pair are showing their artworks on paper, connecting themes of flow and colour within nature, pushing the raw materials of paint, ink and pen to the edge.

Behind the scenes!

Many thanks to photographer and friend of Cromer Artspace Pete Colman who came up with the excellent display for our Secret Postcards show! It took days to make and consists of 55 battens with wires to hold the postcards upright, which Pete then delivered to Cromer Artspace after dusk when the prom was quiet. 🙏

Open call for artists!

The deadline for submissions for our upcoming Cromer Open 2026 exhibition is 27 September.

It is open to all artists, from anywhere, and it is open to all possibilities. Work will have been made in the last eighteen months and not have been previously exhibited in East Anglia .

Now in its sixth year, the Cromer Open showcases exciting contemporary work from across East Anglia and beyond, attracting hundreds of visitors who value bold, thoughtful and boundary‑pushing art. The exhibition will celebrate artists’ ability to open minds, transcend boundaries, defy expectations, spark connections, release imagination, unleash possibilities, reveal the overlooked as extraordinary, empower new understanding… to break out of the frame.

Our 2026 Open exhibition runs alongside our symposium Beyond the Frame: decentralising the visual arts. The exhibition will be open from 18 October to 5 November and the symposium is on 21 October, welcoming participants from across the country. Selected works will be seen by symposium audiences, visiting curators, and national partners.

Does art bring growth to a small town?

That's what we want to know. See link in bio for what we're doing about it. How can we put more art in the hands of more people wherever they live?

Does art give freedom to everyone or only those with access to it?

For other questions we should be asking there's a link in the bio.
