Browse is essential for so many of our animals and really helps promote good gut health.

Ever wondered how Emu’s drink water …

Our Emus can easily drink a bucket of water each day. There large beaks can take up a considerable amount so its our job to always ensure they have plenty of clean fresh water.

If you’d like an Emu feeding experience, just book at the welcome desk on arrival. We have slots available each afternoon from Thursday to Sunday from 1.00pm.

We have been on quite a journey with our squirrel monkey and have learned an awful lot along the way too.

Happy to say we have some very happy, settled squirrel monkeys with beautiful tails, enjoying some fresh browse cut today.

BEAT THE HEAT WITH A TASTY TREAT! ☀️

When temperatures rise, keeping our animals cool, comfortable, and happy is one of our top priorities!

We love getting creative with frozen enrichment — it’s brilliant for two reasons: it helps lower body temperature on hot days, and it gives them a fun, tasty challenge to work at, just like they would in the wild!

Look at Ruby absolutely loving these juicy frozen mulberries — very kindly donated by one of our wonderful visitors! 🥰✨

Fruity, icy treats like these aren’t just delicious — they’re packed with natural goodness, provide great hydration, and turn a hot day into a playful, refreshing feast. Ruby certainly agrees… she couldn’t get enough!

Thank you so much to our amazing visitors for thinking of our animals — kind gestures like these make such a difference!

Happy World Otter Day.

Hope everyone had an otterly fantastic time.

Did you know, Ravi and Orla are Asian short clawed otters - one of the smallest of all otters.

Today they got some special crustacean treats to celebrate and as you can see (and hear), they thoroughly enjoyed them.

Our otter trial around the park continues for the rest of the week so why not join us for a great day out at Perthshire Zoo at Auchingarrich.

Day 12: Happily Ever After – National Otter Day & Our Otter Trail!

They did it! Orla and Ravi are officially a couple, settled perfectly into their cosy new log pile home, and living their very own happily ever after. 🥰

Today is the start of our Otter week with National Otter day being celebrated on Wednesday. This day is so important: it raises awareness for these incredible animals, highlights the threats they face in the wild, and supports vital conservation work to protect them.

To mark the occasion and share their wonderful story, we have created an Otter Trail around the park! 🗺️ Follow the signs and count the otters. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Orla and Ravi, and to learn why every otter matters.

👉 Come walk the trail, meet the happy couple, and help us protect otters everywhere!
