About last night…..Charm of Finches. I exhausted my superlatives tonight. I love this band. They raised the roof with their storytelling and pure talent. Mabel and Ivy’s voices ascend the stage until they meet in perfect harmony, each voice incomparable yet somehow in sync.A special night.

About last night………..well Thursday actually. What a way to end such a glorious year of music, Jody Prewett set the tone with his incredible musicianship and Elliot Smitheque vocal.
Emily Maguire is back to take her rightful place as exquisite songstress, lyrical magician and grace giver. The songs for the new album stand well against her classics so we can’t wait for that to be born. She will be back here soon so watch this space.

About last night.......George and Josiah aka Sons Of Town Hall sailed their raft all the way up the Thames to spend the evening with us. What an eveing it was, there was singing and dancing and that was just the audience. They have the ability to time freeze to a previous century, a time that was simpler(maybe) yet the songwriting is clever, satirical and thoughtful , topped off by their lovable performance. Oh yes they will be back when the tide is right.

It was an absolute delight to be able to present the wonderful talents of Robert Vincent and Anna Corcoran in the spectacular St Sampsons Church - it was nothing short of magical. The music filled the space in the most moving way, and the atmosphere was unforgettable. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a success — we’re still buzzing from it!

About last night…The Henry Girls were so amazing that half way through the night I ran out of superlatives. They brought their unique brand of folk meets jazz meets 1930s close vocal harmonies to Cricklade and brought the house down . The songs paint vivid pictures of love and loss and all things in between. Thank you so much for sharing your music and love with us. Cornwall Folk Festivaland Shrewsbury Folk Festival you are in for a treat.
