👻 The Haunting of Soddington Hall 👻
😆 A comedy by Julia Lewis and directed by Andrew Pippen 🎭
Successive earls of Soddington have gambled away the family fortune, leaving the ancestral home in a state of significant disrepair. It now falls to Oswald, the 42nd earl, to remedy the situation and turn Soddington Hall back into the glorious mansion if once was. But how to achieve this when he’d much rather sit down with a nice cup of tea and the newspaper?
With advice from an unexpected quarter, Oswald and Cressida embark on a supernatural scheme to swell the family coffers; they open up their crumbling mansion to fee paying ghost hunters. But there’s one slight problem. No one’s ever seen a ghost in Soddington Hall.
Join Theatre Adhoc for some hilarious spectral shenanigans as Oswald attempts to keep his wife happy, motivate his languid son into helping out and save his family pile from the bulldozers. And if that wasn’t enough to contend with, there’s Cressida’s glamorous sister asking too many questions, a psychic investigator with a range of new fangled detecting equipment and a wannabe clairvoyant who can barely communicate with the living, let alone the dead. Plus the butler’s been at the brandy again.
And, as for the twins; well, sometimes the living are scarier than the dead!
