WOW… where do I begin?
What an amazing night of creativity, fun, tasty food, fantastic raffle prizes and great company in a beautiful setting - raising money for our small charity in Crewkerne.
A massive 41 of us came together in The Speedwell garden to learn a few simple techniques to turn ceramic items into something colourful, personal and unique. As you can see from the results, anything is possible and amazing things happen when adults (not just children) PLAY with materials and let their imaginations run wild!
None of this would have been possible without so many people: Thank you to my artist friend Natasha Rand for all your ideas and creative support to run these workshops! There’s so much work that goes into planning what we do for Awe and Wonder and I hope you know your efforts do not go unnoticed. Also shout out to her incredible son Seth who played us some acoustic guitar as guests arrived - how lush was that?! 🙏 🎶
BIG THANK YOU to my amazing mum and sibling put on the most incredible spread of food for everyone AND for all the entertainment 😉. My amazing daughter who was just simply a DANCING QUEEN.
Thank you to my A&W team who helped sell raffle tickets, call bingo numbers and help clear up once the party is over (you know who you all are ♥️) - this is honestly one of the hardest parts and doing it in darkness when we are all exhausted is not easy. You are all my heroes and I’m forever thankful for your help!
I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated something for the event - tiles, white ceramics, decorations, raffle prizes and amazing gifts. 🎁 The generosity of our community this year was mind blowing and people won some super prizes!
Lastly, thank you to all of you that bought a ticket and came along, let your hair down and pushed yourself out of your comfort zone. Thank you for supporting what we do and making a difference to the lives of families in our amazing small town.
Every single penny raised will be going towards FREE CREATIVE PLAY for our next big project Once Upon a Time . We can’t wait to let you know just how much we raised very soon!
