We provide classes and private lessons in Ballroom & Latin American, Modern & Classical Sequence and Argentine Tango. Sadly the musical arrangement we choreographed it to by DJIce incurs copyright issues resulting in a youtube block.. so we used a similar arrangement by Hollywood Strings which works very well

DRAGON'S TANGO SEQUENCE DANCE WALKTHROUGH

We were stunned and delighted to win the UKA Inventive as we tried to offer something different - bringing the old style popular sequence and the new together to try and appeal to the hobby sequence dancer :)

Split into 4 quarters with 2 Slow Walks starting each section, a repeating first section that moves back up the room, mainly linear with a few highlights asking the way..... but then choreographing it to modern, relevant music, adding Argentine Tango adornments and brush taps to give it musicality and bite.

A couple of days to acclimatise to lovely Devon before the first arrivals on Saturday. Cream teas, sea air, Devon pasties and hopefully some sun and start a new book.

Then lots of dancing fun to come ❤️

Our lovely Wednesday Absolute Beginners for all the way through the Sweetheart Waltz tonight. Lots of new ideas within the routine, rotating the basic Waltz, footwork and of course the whisk introduces Promenade Position for the first time.

Great progress is being made ❤️

ONLINERS - A reminder that we're teaching the new RUMBA TULIPANO tonight (arranged by Yasmin Sheikh). Looking forward to seeing some of you live with us, it's a nice and gentle one so 'carpet-friendly'!

I asked Yasmin where the name came from - it's Italian for Tulip - so I googled how to say it....

Our lovely Wednesday Absolute Beginners making their start on the Sweetheart Waltz first section. So easy to let the concentration slip, so it's drill drill drill until it's in 😉 They are doing really well and are a great bunch of people x

Getting our Dragon's Tango ready for the July tea dance in each class tonight!! Getting in the steps first, then we'll look at the Tango technique we can add into it to give it a little bite.

Our lovely Thursday beginners have now finished Block 3 and just need to practise and consolidate the dances already learned. It's time to move on to Block 4 and we are starting it with the classic Sweetheart Waltz. Learning the skill of holding without weight and then moving on to the same foot again. Easy when you know how.... not so much for a beginner to control. They did brilliantly ❤️
