Artist friends, can you help?

I have my giclée prints done by the excellent , complete with a border around the image.

Until now I’ve always used mount board behind the print to keep it rigid. But it’s really expensive, especially for larger prints, and probably a bit over the top.

So I’m looking for recommendations for an alternative backing card - something that does the job and still looks decent, but is more cost effective.

Any suggestions? 🙏

Yesterday I spotted a field with rectangular bales that made a lovely composition.

Headed out with my sketchbook this afternoon, only to find all the bales loaded on a trailer ready to go! 😅

So I ended up back at a favourite spot that I’ve painted a few times (last time in the snow!) Does anyone else keep returning to the same spot or view?

Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours under the shade of a beautiful oak tree 🙏
