As the music fades and the crowds head home, the work behind the scenes is far from over.
The morning after the night before sees our incredible volunteers back on site, working just as hard as they did before the gates opened. The Ceòlas Tent is coming down, the Main Stage is being packed away, fencing is disappearing, and over the next few days the beautiful machair at Liniclate will be lovingly returned to the way nature intended.
It’s a reminder that EDF has never just been about the two days of music. It’s about months of planning, countless hours of hard work, and an amazing community of volunteers who give their time, energy and heart to create something truly special.
As we celebrate 10 incredible years of the EDF Festival, we simply want to say *thank you.*
Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, partners, artists, traders, contractors, emergency services, local businesses, landowners and every single person who has bought a ticket, danced in the sunshine (and the rain!), and helped turn what many once called an impossible dream into one of Scotland’s most loved community festivals.
We’ve created memories that will last a lifetime, welcomed world-class artists to Benbecula and created opportunities for new emerging artists to play on a big stage, together we have shown what a small island community can achieve when it comes together.
The performances may be over, but the story of EDF is far from finished.
We’ll see you all next year as we begin a brand new decade of the EDF Festival.
Tapadh leibh uile!❤️🎶
