Happy Sunday to you all. No class tonight, 8th March, as we are back on stage at the Hawth Theatre.

15th March, no class as it is Mother's day.

Classes start back 22nd March. Hope to see you all for some shimmies and giggles.

First class is free for you to try, after its £6 per class. Come along and have some fun. Step outside the norm, you may just love it.

Shimmy Sirens classes will restart 11th January 2026.

If you fancy giving the class a go, drop me a message and you'll be most welcome.

One trial class costs nothing, after that it is only £5 per person per class. Whilst all prices around us have risen, I have kept my class price low. It's not about making money, to me it's about sharing the passion for this amazing dance form.

We wear comfy clothing and no belly's need be on show. (Feel free to have yours on show if you wish) The ladies of Shimmy Sirens are friendly and welcoming. We have plenty of giggles along the way.

We are in Tilgate recreation hut 11, that's the DMT studio, it is clearly marked so easy to find. Parking is free and plenty of it. Bring water to stay hydratedclasses ate Sunday at 6pm - 7pm.

Ditch the sofa, ditch the boring evening in and come and try belly dance with us. Known to boost confidence, tone the body and build great friendships. Plus you get to wear some amazing outfits and use some beautiful and dramatic props all whilst learning a bit about the history and background.

Shimmy Sirens Troupe performed at Tilgate Parks Magical Christmas this afternoon and they were utterly fabulous if I do say so myself. We had the wonderful company of the Chameleons, their dances were a real delight.
Thank you to all those who put in such hard work and gave up their time to entertain the audience and made the afternoon truly magical.

Then it was off to Smith and Western for a cheeky cocktail and light bite to eat.

Here's to many more performances to come. You're all amazing and so appreciated 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

We had great fun at the studio tonight. Shimmy Sirens as part of the amazing DMT family in our Halloween get ups. Games were played, dances were danced and laughs were had. Love you all ladies, you're all true stars ✨

Hello my lovlies. Just to let you all know, no class this Sunday as I'm away on a much needed holibob. Just a friendly reminder that anyone is welcome to try Shimmy Sirens. You'll get one free class. We don't just churn out choreography, we try our best to educate you about the amazing culture, traditions and expressions along the way.

Lovely class last night. We danced Kurdistan, Golden Era and have started our fun fast paced Shaabi choreography to "I wanna Dum tek"
Always lovely to see the class enjoying themselves. The duck faces were particularly funny. I feel we should have a choreo to include a suitable duck face section 🤣

On a persoanl note, thank you ladies for being supportive. I was a tad unsettled by the unnecessary nasty response I got from that young dancer. I never understand how someone, anyone, would rather be rude than say "hey wow, no I didn't know that little fact. Thanks ever so much for taking the time and letting me know, much appreciated"

Also, thank you ladies who took the pears, I have quite a few kilos of them left. I hope you enjoy them ######
