Zach and Pippa representing GPS at our little exhibition booth at The Hawth last Wednesday for Manor Royal: Meet Your Neighbour.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the local business community here in Manor Royal – the largest business park in the South East – and to chat with companies about how GPS can support their content, audio, and production needs.

We met some brilliant new businesses this year and already have two exciting projects in the pipeline: writing original music for one company and producing a podcast for another.

A great reminder of how much creativity and opportunity is right on our doorstep.

Brandon at the Japan Embassy, collecting the work visa for something very special.

Brandon is heading out to Japan with Mice Parade, a band he’s been part of for around 25 years. After roughly eight years away from playing together, the band is reuniting for a run of shows in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo, all of which sold out almost immediately, with an additional Tokyo date added and selling out too.

Mice Parade have a long history with Japan, including strong record sales and a headline slot on the White Stage at Fuji Rock Festival, so returning there for these shows feels pretty special.

Brandon will also be recording the live concerts, with plans to bring a handful of songs back to Treehouse Studio at GPS to mix in Dolby Atmos.

Audience capture will be handled using the Sennheiser AMBEO microphone, with audio running through a 32-channel analogue Midas desk, analogue delays and effects in full force.

Japan, here we come.

Great day at MPTS at Kensington Olympia 🎥🎙️

A brilliant show, packed with familiar faces, exciting kit and plenty of ideas to bring back to GPS.

(Shure, Aputure, Blackmagic Design, Focusrite, Neumann , Focal Point VR)

Great catching up with the team at Shure. We’re very excited to say they’ll be coming down to GPS in July for a collaboration around a new product launch… which we’re absolutely not allowed to talk about yet 👀

Also great to see Jason Stewart from Aputure. We’re big fans of their kit at GPS, with five NOVA 300c fixtures installed in our 9m-wide Infinity Cove. Incredible lights with over a million colours to play with.

A good stop by Blackmagic Design too. We use Blackmagic kit throughout GPS and it continues to be rock solid.

Great to catch up with Richard Smedley and the team at Focusrite , including a glimpse inside their new preamp / DA converter… very impressive bit of kit.

Lovely to meet Melissa Knap, Head of Social Media and Community Management at Neumann. We’re proud to have a solid collection of Neumann microphones at GPS, and Melissa will be visiting us soon for a collaboration around our shared passion for high-quality audio.

And great to meet Paul James and the team at Focal Point VR , who are doing some groundbreaking immersive film and sound capture work. Lots to talk about for future projects, and they’re planning a trip to GPS soon. Being based in Guildford means they’re practically neighbours.

Only thing missing was our right-hand man Zach Smithson, who would have loved it – but he’s still out in Germany doing his AV thing at a giant exhibition!

A very productive day all round.

Huge thanks to Dolby for inviting us to The Tempest Inn party alongside Concord Label Group & Stem. Great atmosphere, fantastic hospitality, plenty of familiar faces, and some seriously good food… those crab rolls definitely deserve a mention 🦀🍻

Safe to say it was a great way to spend a Friday at TGE Brighton - and yes, there may still be a few beer tokens left in pockets!

A little behind the scenes from our collaboration with Eloise Singer on The Pirate Queen: No Safe Waters.

From conversations on the roof terrace with Brandon and Zach to adding the final touches to the soundtrack in Treehouse Studio, this project was a brilliant example of creative collaboration at every stage.

We’re proud to have supported Eloise and the team on the film’s immersive sound journey ahead of its world premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2026.

We wish them all the best at the screenings this week!

The film will have its world premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, an incredible milestone for everyone involved.
