Lead engineer Al Riley pictured in Treehouse with the amazing Steve Spiro: producer, co-founder of Felt Music, creator of Music For Headphones, and the artist behind Frequent Traveller.

This was after finishing the huge project Hush, a body of work we’re incredibly proud to have mixed here at GPS.

Steve’s work sits right at the meeting point of music, sound design, field recording, and immersive audio, so bringing Hush into Treehouse was a very special collaboration.

A brilliant project, a brilliant producer, and a lot of hours spent deep in the details.

From test build to Cannes.

Shout out to Singer Studios, Pixel Sharp and Studio Jackson Taylor, who were all fabulous to work with on this amazing project.

These first images show the technical pre-visualisation setup for The Pirate Queen: No Safe Waters inside the GPS Infinity Cove, using the space to test projection, lighting, scale and immersive staging before the final performance.

The remaining images show the production in Cannes, where the work came to life in front of an audience.

The Infinity Cove is more than a filming space. Its size, flexibility, and controlled environment make it ideal for technical builds, lighting tests, immersive previsualisation, projection mapping, and creative development before a project reaches the stage, screen, or installation space.

A proud GPS moment, and a great example of how early-stage testing can help shape the final experience.

A clever bit of real-time connection between two GPS spaces.

This setup links the Infinity Cove and Coral Cave using a live camera and screen feed, so both rooms can stay visually connected without needing a glass panel between them.

Why does that matter? Because glass can interfere with acoustic performance; in a studio environment, sound matters.

Great to welcome Jeremy Taylor from The Company Connector to Gatwick Production Studios yesterday.

Jeremy is a huge music fan and a musician himself – with a rather nice guitar collection by all accounts! 🎸

One of our favourite things at GPS is seeing someone experience Dolby Atmos in the Treehouse for the first time. No matter how much you explain immersive audio, there’s nothing quite like hearing it for yourself – and Jeremy’s reaction said it all.

Matt from Mapped Out Media has been working with GPS for months, so he already had a good idea of what we do here.

But there’s a big difference between seeing the setup… and hearing it for yourself.

Brandon gave Matt his first proper taste of Dolby Atmos in Treehouse, and the reaction says it all.

Immersive audio is one of those things that is hard to explain until you’re sitting in the room.

A little piece of music history on the wall at GPS.

This framed poster in our foyer is from a Pink Floyd show at Hastings Pier, with Beaufords Image, introduced by Pete Drummond.

But for us, the detail that really matters is the name at the top: Robert E. Knights, the General Manager of Hastings Pier, and Brandon’s grandfather.

Live music has always run deep in Brandon’s family, and that history is part of the heart of Gatwick Production Studios today.

From Hastings Pier to GPS, the love of live performance, sound, and music continues.

What a night at GPS!

Last Thursday, we were proud to host the launch of Manor Royal Links, a new trail celebrating the art, heritage, green spaces, culture, and creativity across Manor Royal.

The evening brought together more than 50 local companies, partners, artists, and community voices, with a live performance from Woodzy and the premiere of the Manor Royal Links film, produced here at Gatwick Production Studios.

The film was created by the GPS team, with Zach Smithson as lead cameraman, Brandon Knights as drone pilot, original music written by Brandon and produced by Zach, VFX by Raphael Lambrakis-Haddad, and editing, colour grading, and production by Zach at GPS. A huge thank you to Manor Royal BID for trusting us with the film and the event, and to everyone who came along and made the evening such a positive one.

Japan Tour Diary, Part 2.

A selection of clips from Brandon and the Mice Parade Japan tour.

From the first show at Club Metro, Kyoto - sold out in just two hours - to waiting for the Shinkansen to Tokyo with Rob King, Sandy and the brilliant Anastasia, then loading in at Basement Bar Tokyo.

A few moments from the road, the venues and the in-between bits that make a tour what it is. Brandon even got a brief chance to take his fingers off the faders!
